  • What Stakes do you Play? How many hours per week?

Do you play poker for fun, to subsidize your income, or for a living? What stakes do you play? If you play on the net, how many tables at once? How many hours do you play a week? Just curious - I am considering switching from B&M to the net and trying to figure out if the change over is worth the time.

  • What Stakes Must One Play to Make a Living at Poker

While there is huge difference between On Line Poker Players and B&M Poker Players, I am curious as to what you think about "what stakes must one play to make a living at poker"? Each poker players "nut" is different (personal living/operating costs) On Line poker can involve multi-tabling, but On Line Poker is subject to more cheating than B&M Poker. A poker player can play at a lower limit on line by multi tabling and may be able to grind out a exsistence. From my 35

  • Is this cheating - would you play in the game

I just came back from a poker trip to L.V in which I played at a game at a world famous destination casino composed mostly of regulars who knew each other well. As an outsider that already wasn't what I wanted to see at my table. In nearly every hand when these local players faced each other, they checked it down no matter the strength of their hands, sometimes showing each other their hands before all streets were complete, (after other players were out) I expressed my displeasure for this vocally

  • Re:Line check w/ QQ at $10/$20nl 3 handed. Thoughts? (Sorry kinda long)

If you reraise preflop one more time, you will have a better idea where you are at with QQ. By waiting for the flop, you are "trapping yourself" for more bets, if he truly has your hand in bad shape. If the flop comes jack high or less, how much money are you willing to lose with QQ? Why not find out pre-flop with another raise, and get a better idea where you stand? Ask yourself, are you willing to lose all your chips with QQ in a three handed game? Depending on that answer, several ways

  • 10K Bankroll - How high should I play?

I have a 10K "poker" bankroll. How high of blind structure should I play if I am a no limit specialist? (I am trying to win 40K in 3 months and return to the mountains where I live)

  • Re:10K Bankroll - How high should I play?

I have been doing this (playing poker) for over 30 years. (then returning to the mountains) I fly in to LA, or LV, play 10/20 Blind N/L. My usual start up poker bankroll is 10K. My personal cost of living in the mountains runs around 40K with all insurances, licenses, heat, etc. I make enough in about 3 or 4 trips of poker playing a year, to live the rest of the year in the mountains. Where I play poker depends on poker events. Poker tournaments are always Krazy with side games (Bellagio and Commerce
