Yeah what kind of routing problem slows stars and not ftp? Ftp is more susceptible to slight delays than stars.

Hey Jeff I heard you made an even sicker call with jack nine high. Can you post your thought process for that one?

I agree that a 1200-2400 level is needed. There are a few options to change the structure: I'd like to see either 3000 chips per rebuy (after all you get 3000 for $100 in a freezeout) or possibly allow a double add-on like live rebuys. Along with one of these changes Stars should go into antes earlier, possibly starting level 5 at 75-150-15 (or 25 ante would be fun). The higher cost per round would cancel out the extra chips and not cause the tournament to last much longer. Adding a few more chips

Actually ICM is a model that accounts for chips having diminishing marginal utility. I'm not much of a SNG player but my understanding is that they use it to in order not call all ins too often and not bubble as much. You essentially wrote that you believed Annette's chips had increasing marginal utility. There is quite a bit more statistical support for the argument that you should pass on +ev situations (Independent Chip Model) than that you should take -ev ones (tournament donkey model).

Stop bickering with these kids and respond about the article pls.

Hi Nick if you read the other thread you'll see I posted some questions for Annette about the article. Unfortunately your post raises some of the same questions for me. I'd be a lot more interested in your ideas about how to correctly play 74s if they came with real calculations.

Annette how do you feel about the article? I thought it was interesting that the author didn't do any equity calculations or include the term expected value. Do you feel that grapsfan is helping beginning players differentiate between good spots to isolate with 74s and bad ones? Do you think that it's reasonable to assume an unknown player such as hardy1973 never has big hand because he smooth-called a raise preflop in the small blind, "even with a shortstacked big blind"? Are there other reasons
