It always cracks me up how many people quit their 40 hr/wk job because they want more autonomy as a poker player...and then end up in front of their screen(s) for 6-10 hours a day for 5-6 days a week. Anyway, there are pros who specialize in .25/.50NL (citizenwind and verneer come to mind). And there are some pros who specialize in $5-20 SnGs (like gidders). One thing you have to keep in mind is that if you win $100k you have to keep a chunk of that online in case of swings. You have to be cognizant
I'm sure they will look at your play, and discover nothing is out of the ordinary. Next time someone is giving you a hard time about cheating, type "00110111101011" in response to everything they say.
I did that at the Borgata...it didnt work out so well....

So...how long before some idiot congressman points to this thread talking how poker players have a mafia-mentality advocating assault and battery? Okay, first off, having any kind of conversation with this guy is really really stupid, you HAVE to know that.... I mean...you KNOW that he makes his side money breaking into people's houses. In the same way that Im generally against the death penalty, Im generally against breaking someone's legs because you got screwed. That being said, this guy
Just to be clear, yes you will earn rakeback on the satellite, and if you win a seat into and play in an MTT, you'll get rakeback on that too. For instance, if you play a $10+1 satellite and win a seat to a $200+16 tournament, you're considered to have generated $17 in rake and will get back 27% of that.
To give you an idea, I played a $5+.50 rebuy and rebought once to win a $100+9 satellite seat. Then I won entry into a $500+35 tourney. I didn't

Simply put, it's satellite strategy. Having the most chips is nice, but you can have 5 chips and if you get 5th place, you win. If you have a bunch of chips when there are 8-6 players left, you could attack the shortstacks, but I leave it to the midstacks to do that, because an all-in will hurt them more than they'll hurt you.
I was going to type this, but you might as well hear it from the best instead of me. (with apologies to busto_soon obv)
well...stevie's opinion carries a little more weight on step questions that anybody i can think of....how many WSOPME seats did you win last year?
it really depends on how replaceable your bankroll is or if your ego can handle going back down to the 1.20s if things dont go well. what is your ROI in the 1.20 and how many have you played? that is also a huge determinant if you are ready to move up. you dont want to confuse a hot run with being a consistent, solid winner at those stakes here are jennifear's bankroll suggestions. keep in mind these numbers reflect jennifear's conservative bankroll management
basically was wondering if it is possible to achieve SNE in a year playing 8hours a day HU 50nl 2 tables. ?
No to give you an idea, you have to get 2,840 VPPs a day, every day, with no day off. If you take w/end off, it's 3847 VPPs a day. my suggestion is to do it for a week and see if it's what you want to do, or if you want to play more tables and higher levels.
