Aaron Brown also has an excellent book called The Poker Face of Wall Street that delves into many interesting topics related to poker, history, trading, economics, etc. It's well worth it if you are interested in any or all of the above topics.

I play because there is no better feeling than seeing you just beat x amount of players for the ultimate win. They don't happen every day, but when they do, man does that feel good. I play because I love competition. I play because even when you have the worst end of day feelings, when I wake up the next morning, I usually want to go crush.

i just had 25 ish big blinds in the 1k Full Tilt and got trapped by a player that probably isn't profitable at 26 dollar sit n gos. He limped UTG 1k/2k. Another player limped and I raised the button with JJ to 9k. I had raised his limp twice already and was flatted both times. This time he shipped it in and I called off my stack. He has AA and I lose. I thought that move was dead, but most players that can't beat 26 dollar sit n gos probably do still use it.

How would this factor into POY on the various sites? I know he is up there, but it would be cool to see him take down the whole thing after that year.

I have to cheer for Platts because this game is up there on his skill list.

My advice is don't play satellites unless you are going to play the tournament when you actually win. Otherwise, spend your time you played the satellites on a MTT the size of the satellite. Satellites are usually the only way you can justify playing a bigger tournament based on bankroll, so either don't play them or play the event when you win.
