This Sunday's prize pools across the major poker sites were among the highest in online poker history, as PocketFivers put up impressive stats at major final tables. Among the winners on Sunday, was PocketFiver Craig "craigthedeac" Boyd (right), who took down the PokerStars 2nd Chance tournament for $63,600. In order to win, Craig had to go through P5'ers "AsianDude7" (who took 2nd Place for $32,400) and "Joao M," who won $18,100 for finishing 4th.
Three PocketFivers reached the final table of the coveted PokerStars Sunday Million Tournament this past Sunday. "SitAndStack" outlasted over more than 7,780 players and placed 5th, for a paycheck of $46,700. PocketFiver "xxunleashedxx" received $24,100 for his 7th Place finish, while "david_a" won $14,000 for 8th. The $500k Guaranteed "Sunday Warm Up" tournament on PokerStars saw two P5'ers score at the final table. "ATM4Life" won $31,700 for 4th Place and "donkeygoesHEEHAW" collected $13,300 for 7th.
Long-time PocketFiver Carl "colson10" Olson (left) dominated the action in the PokerStars $150k Guaranteed $215 rebuy tournament, taking home $56,600 for his victory in one of the most competitive fields on the Net. "EnoBaLL" made $15,400 in the same tournament for ending up in 5th Place, while popular PocketFivers "PearlJammer," "thorladen," and "Randers" rounded out the final table by finishing in 7th, 8th, and 9th Place respectively.
The UltimateBet $200k Guaranteed $200+15 buyin Sunday major was won by PocketFiver "8balldeluxe" (right), who took home $45,000 for his efforts. Right behind him were "bizaaar," who placed 2nd for $26,500, and "charder," who cashed in for $18,000 while placing 3rd. P5'er "TheNogre" finished in 5th Place and got $10,500 for his efforts, and "makeutap247" finished in 9th for $3,400.
The action heated up Sunday on Full Tilt, as the Full Tilt Online Poker Series took center stage. In a very large 2nd Place finish, PocketFiver "kochan" made a serious move for the top spot in the Australia Sortable Rankings by earning $176,700 in the $1 Million Guaranteed FTOPS Event #9. He was beaten out by well-known professional poker player Erick Lindgren. P5'ers "ryhenicee," "darrenelias," (below-left) and "gettin deep," also had seats at that huge final table, finishing 4th for $89k, 6th for $50k, and 8th for $30k.
The $150k Guaranteed FTOPS Event #8 quadrupled its guaranteed prize pool, as 6,000 participants competed for a shot at $600,000 in prize money. Taking home $48,700 for his 3rd Place finish was PocketFiver "kingwildcard," while "dprodigy" got $11,600 for 8th Place and "daisyxoxo" made $7,600 for 9th.
PocketFiver "TwistedEcho" took down the FullTilt $100k Guaranteed "Sunday Mulligan" tournament, which also featured a prize pool that more than doubled the guarantee. "TwistedEcho" won $51,100 for 1st place, "cool0813" got $32,400 for 2nd, "rcrane082985" finished 3rd for $24,000, and "DahJinerat" made $18,700 for 4th Place. PocketFiver "badbeatninja" finished in 6th for $10,200 and "Mr. Menlo" earned $5,100 for 8th Place.
The PartyPoker $300k saw PocketFiver "l33t_hax0r" earn a paycheck of $23,700 for 3rd place. "Oreglegios" and Top 10 online tournament player "moorman1" both had 5-figure scores for ending their tournament lives in 4th and 6th Place respectively. The Bodog $100k Guaranteed featured two P5'ers at the final table... "lowdog" took home $4,400 for 6th and "matt1269" made $2,400 for 8th.
