This Sunday's major online tournaments were dominated by PocketFives.com members, as they took down five major online tournaments. Leading the way was PocketFiver "bhanks11," who won the PokerStars Monthly Sunday Million ($500+30 buyin) for $278,000. "Bhanks11," who plays on PokerStars as "usourcek," has been on fire recently with wins in the Nightly Hundred Grand, the $55k Guaranteed, and other freezeout tournaments... all within the past three months.
Also making the final table in the Stars Monthly $500+$30 Sunday Million were PocketFivers "Rightthurrr" and "Clayton_27." "Rightthurrr" placed 3rd for a cash of just over $100,000, while "Clayton_27" won $27,000 for his 8th place final result. The PokerStars $500k Guaranteed Sunday Warm-Up saw two P5'ers at the final table. "FishOnTilt" and "rhe041" placed 4th and 5th, earning them $34k and $27k respectively.
The weekly $150k Guaranteed ($215 rebuy) final table was also dominated by PocketFives.com members, with "mysterio6044" taking down the tournament for nearly $53k. Christian "charder" Harder (left) placed 3rd in this tournament for $25k, and was accompanied at the final table by P5'ers Matt "ch0ppy" Kay, Brain "SN8WMAN" Hawkins, "shaundeeb," Chad "m8kingmoves" Batista, and "jpeahs."
The PokerStars 2nd Chance tournament saw three P5'ers at the final table, including 2007 UB Aruba Classic Champion Travis "TravestyFund" Rice (right), who finished 5th for $13k. "Donnysack" ended up in 7th Place and "jpeahs" managed two major final tables on Sunday, as he finished in 8th Place in both the $215 rebuy and the 2nd Chance for a combined total of over $10k. This PocketFiver plays as "grindnitout" on PokerStars, and has a final table in the Full Tilt Online Poker Series and an outright victory in the UltimateBet $20k Guaranteed Bounty to his credit so far in February.
The UltimateBet $200k Guaranteed was won this Sunday by PocketFiver "geirto," who earned $45,000 to his victory as he beat out "grotan" heads up. PocketFiver Jeff "caaashier" Cates, hailing from Grand Prairie, Texas, took 4th Place in the UB $200k Guaranteed for $13,100. Travis "HighNetWorth" Klein (left) won $6,500 for 6th place, as "BudmansCom" and "Tmay420" rounded out the final table. Earning spots in the PartyPoker $300k Guaranteed final table were "tremendez" and "pastika26," who finished 7th and 8th respectively. P5'er "pastika26" has already won two $100 freezeouts on PokerStars this month.
The Full Tilt $750k Guaranteed saw three PocketFivers reach the final table, as "rfb03deuce" finished 4th for $50k and "pdj316" took home $16,500 for 8th. The Full Tilt Sunday Brawl was won by "pepe11," who collected $74k for his efforts. He was followed by "BSL2U" and "SlimsChicken," who finished in 2nd and 4th in that tournament, for $49k and $28k respectively. Rounding out the final table was PocketFiver "mx4ever," who finished 9th for $4,300. WSOP Main Event final table participant Lee "acumen53" Childs (right) took the runner-up spot in the Sunday Mulligan for $28k, edging out "IWEARGOGGLES" and "ChuckSty," who finished 3rd and 4th. "KTEN24" placed 6th for nearly $9k and "noli me tangere" earned $4,500 for finishing in 8th.
The Bodog $100k was won by "kornkid," who plays under the name of "350zoom" on Bodog. He earned $25,000 for the victory as Ben "makeutap247" Elam finished 3rd for $9,200. PocketFiver "OGHowie" cashed for $3,500 as he ended in 7th Place, as Andrew "tiltyjoker" Lee (left) made $2,500 for finishing 8th in the Bodog $100k Guaranteed. Bodog will be hosting its inaugural Bodog Poker Open in one week, where $75,000 will be added to the prize pools of six events. Players can buyin directly to the events, or attempt to win seats via satellite tournaments on Bodog.
