This Sunday's online tournament action featured several very impressive performances by PocketFives.com members, led by David "Hickboy" Hickman's (right) outright victory in the Full Tilt Poker $750k Guaranteed Sunday major tournament for a score of $142,100. David is a 23 year old residing in Boston, Massachusetts, and also won the Full Tilt $55k Guaranteed a week ago along with final-tabling the PokerStars $100 rebuy last month.
One of the players that David had to get through in order to win, was Marco "CrazyMarco" Johnson (left), who placed 3rd in the Full Tilt $750k for $56k. Marco was on a roll this past Sunday, also placing 4th in the UltimateBet $200k Guaranteed. PocketFiver "ender555" placed 5th in the $750k Guaranteed for $33k, as P5'ers "absolutD37" and "Great_One82" finished in 7th and 8th Place respectively, for cashes of $14,500 and $10,800.
The Full Tilt $100k Guaranteed Sunday Mulligan saw three PocketFivers at the final table, as "TheStein" came out on top and earned nearly $46k for his efforts. "ZepHendrix" placed 6th for nearly $9k, and well-known P5'er Scott "utterczar" Utterback (right) took home nearly $6,000 for his 7th Place showing. Scott, known for being the life of any party he's at, is known for accumulating chips early in multi-table tournaments. Wade "soggyvag2" Woelfel had an impressive final table performance in the Full Tilt Sunday Brawl, and collected $27,200 for 4th Place.
Kyle "Kcannon" Cannon (left) took down the Bodog $100k Guaranteed Sunday for $25,000 after beating out four other P5'ers at the final table, including "bfineman," who won $9,200 for 3rd. "CapTinBisKuit" scored $6,900 for 4th Place, "cmizzles3687" made $5,500 for 5th, and "ndrudy46" cashed for $2,500 after finishing in 8th. Bodog is gearing up for its inaugural Bodog Poker Open starting this Monday, March 3rd, which will feature the $25k added $470+30 No-Limit Holdem Main Event next Sunday.
The weekly PokerStars Sunday Million tournament saw one of its largest turnouts ever on Sunday, attracting over 8,000 entrants to its flagship tournament. PocketFiver "ckingusc" final-tabled that event, earning nearly $20,000 for 7th Place. The $500k Guaranteed Sunday Warm-Up featured Johan "busto_soon" Til and Daniel "djk123" Kelly at its final table. Johan is currently the top-ranked online tournament player in The Netherlands, and won $26,500 for 5th. Dan Kelly took home nearly $20k after finishing the tournament in 6th Place.
Jason "JCarver" Somerville (right) took 3rd in the PokerStars 2nd Chance tournament for $21,500, outlasting "MikeCaroJr," "garage13," and "Michnak," who finished the event in 7th, 8th, and 9th Place respectively. The $215 rebuy final table saw "Deu_Zebra" finish in 3rd Place for $26k. PocketFiver "rkruok" padded his bankroll with a $15k score for 5th, and Christian "charder" Harder earned $6,600 for 8th.
"Dannymac31" was runner-up in Sunday's UltimateBet $200k Guaranteed tournament, taking home $26,500 for his efforts. As mentioned above, "CrazyMarco" took 4th in this tournament for $13k in a final table that featured seven PocketFives.com members. "PSP1" took 5th for $10,500, "ErikTheKing7" finished 6th, and "sandler1860" ended his tournament life in 7th Place. Also participating in that final table were P5'ers "SN8WMAN" and "wmmcl," who finished in 8th and 10th Place.
