In a weekend of big winners, nobody's was bigger than traheho's (pictured at left), who took home first place in the Full Tilt Online Poker Series Main Event for $288,000. The runner-up in this tournament was Boosted J, and as consolation prizes go, $180k is not too shabby. Newly registered PocketFiver tsarrast took third place and Raoeoiku (playing as "coinflip") finished 8th.
Full Tilt wasn’t the only Sunday major dominated by PocketFivers. The Bodog $100k and the UltimateBet $200k were both won by familiar names. Long-time ranked player and Triple Crown winner gbmantis showed he still has what it takes by winning the Bodog $100k. His win was worth $25k and a healthy boost to his PLB score.
Highroller48 (aka "madhattter," pictured at right) took down the UltimateBet $200k Guranteed for a nice payday of $45k. This final table was also packed with PocketFivers. Yankees31, gboro780, and YRWTHMELTHR finished 3rd, 5th, and 7th, respectively.
The only major a PocketFiver didn’t win this week was the PokerStars Million, but jdi23 snuck into the final table and pocketed $8,229 for his efforts. P5ers had considerable success in some of the other big buy-in tourneys on Stars this Sunday, including landing six out of the nine players at the final table of the $200 rebuy. MazOrBowie won the $200 r&a; Mr. Menlo and Tmay420 rounded out the top three. Finishing in 6th, 7th, and 8th were mattg1983, busto_soon, and Bushman, respectively. The six players combined for $106,000 out of the $149,000 in the prize pool.
PocketFives.com did not recognize any of the names at the final table of the Sunday Warm-Up, but the Second Chance turned up a familiar face in Martine23 (pictured at left), who took third for $17k. Another P5er took second in the Second Chance, playing under the name "CutiePi314," as TheDreamer took home $25k and another big PLB score for a player quickly climbing up the boards.
