The Weekend tournaments were enormous as usual. Over $1 million was distributed in prize pools across all the major sites.
The biggest news this week comes from Paradise, where kingfisher took down the $100,000 Guaranteed tournament for the second straight week! That is an amazing accomplishment, kudos to him. The Hat, ranked #71, continues his solid year with a 6th place finish.
Ranked players also came out in droves to the UltimateBet $120,000 Guaranteed, where #10 doublelucky and #38 jcgoheels put on great shows to finish 4th and 5th, respectively. Despite the prize money, they were both very disappointed at not winning. Also of note is Sonofred, who finished third after winning the whole thing last week. In one crucial hand when it was down to three, he got all his chips in preflop with KK against Sliderman's AK, but an Ace on the turn sealed his fate. Still, 1st and 3rd in consecutive weeks is an extraordinary accomplishment which netted him about $50K.
