There were some big results for our ranked players this week, particularly on PokerStars and PartyPoker.  Interestingly, PartyPoker did not hit its guarantee in the $250k Guaranteed Sunday tournament.  There was some sort of technical problem involving registration, and they ended up having an overlay of nearly $30k, which is very uncharacteristic of that site.  In that specific tournament, none of our ranked players had a high finish, but in the Friday Special, PocketFives.com blogger VIPDIRECT placed 4th, winning $8k.  This capped off a great week for VIPDIRECT on PartyPoker, as he also made the final table of the Super Tuesday event, winning $7k there.  In the Saturday $200K guaranteed there, jcgoheels and BPWJR just missed the final table, but each got a nice payout as consolation.

The big winner of the weekend, however, was gator93, who won more than $53k for finishing 3rd in the $500k guaranteed on PokerStars.  Gank and TheDonator each won a $100 rebuy there as well, winning about $16k a piece.  Madhattter placed in the top 5 of the Sunday $100 rebuy.

On Paradise, PocketFives.com blogger sheetsworld finished 7th overall in the $100k guaranteed, winning a prize of $4,600.  The winner of the $120k guaranteed tournament on UltimateBet was jerrod, who has done well in a number of past tournaments.  He also made the top 100 (in the money) in the $500k on PokerStars earlier in the day.  Another noteable player at the UltimateBet final table was Room 101 (nice reference to George Orwell's 1984), who not long ago made the final table in the same tournament.
