Something unusual happened this past Sunday--every major tournament that is tracked by PocketFives.com had an overlay. Obviously the turnouts were affected by the holiday, but a lot of P5ers still made it out to play, and there were some impressive results.
Most notably, four P5s members chopped the $1M guaranteed on PokerStars, which is a remarkable occurance, considering the size of that field every week. Even on Easter, there were 4,600 entrants, but adanthar, ackbleh, Ian J, and premier each got at least $65k in a 4 way deal. Adanthar ended up taking it down, which gave him a total of about $111k!
Stars wasn't the only site to see a P5er taken down its major. Mordan was the last man standing in the Bodog $100k guaranteed, and he took home $25k for that excellent finish. Quiet Lion was also at that final table, finishing 6th overall.
PartyPoker action showed vegan213 taking 3rd in the Friday Special. The next night, horryclutch was up to his usual routine, taking 2nd in the $200k guaranteed, which paid him barely under $29k. gbmantis had a close call in the $500k guaranteed, finishing 9th for $7k.
In the $150k guaranteed on Paradise, paushtero took 7th place for a bit over $5k. In the PokerRoom Weekly Big Deal, phatcat had yet another 2nd place finish in a major, and MarvinGarden took 4th.
One of the biggest paydays for a P5er this past weekend was in the $200k guaranteed on Full Tilt, where P0KERPR033 took 2nd place for just under $30k. He finished 3rd in the same tournament 5 weeks ago.
Several P5ers final tabled the $100k tourney on UltimateBet. Togasara was the highest finisher, taking 2nd place. gator93 (4th), pinksock (6th), kill-bill (7th), and sheets (8th) were the others. In the $125k later that night, insky-bros took 8th out of more than 500 entrants.
