It was a weekend for repeats, as a couple players pulled off unbelievable feats. Dblgutshot placed 3rd in the PokerStars $350k guaranteed for the 2nd straight week, and if that wasn't amazing enough, Dr_Zoidberg2 won the PartyPoker $250k guaranteed for the second straight week! This is the kind of consistency that is matched by few in the poker world, and PocketFives.com would like to congratulate these players on their fine achievements.
Another player who had a nice weekend, which came very close to being a huge weekend, was acesfull23, who placed 8th in the 100k guaranteed on Bodog, 18th in the 100k guaranteed on Paradise, and 12th in the 120k guaranteed on UltimateBet, narrowly missing the final table. We're getting used to seeing him around at the end of all the biggest tournaments on the net.
On Paradise, quite a few noteables did well, and spencerman (1st), ShuMony2Nite (2nd), and lucky--7 (5th) were at the head of the pack. Splinter99 made the final table in this one for the second consecutive week. Other noteables who came close to the final table were delaReine (22nd) and Wolfdex (28th).
The UltimateBet tourney was closed to being a final table completely filled with pocketfivers and ranked players, but jcgoheels (11th), acesfull23 (12th), sirio11 (15th), and brsavage (21st) all barely missed the cut, still each getting a nice payday. klslcz ended up getting second in this one, going out when his KJ couldn't hold up against K5. GambleAB (4th) and Razeit (6th) put on excellent performances as well, and this was the first Sunday $200 on UltimateBet for GambleAB--I'm guessing he'll be back!
