PearlJammer had an enormous day on Sunday, and when we say enormous, we mean he won $100k! It is rare that we get to see a member of our community finish in the top 3 of two different tournaments with guarantees of at least $200k. He did it though, taking 3rd for $18.5k on UltimateBet and being a part of a 3-way chop in the $1M guaranteed on PartyPoker. Fellow P5er Shawn "westtexasman" Rice was also a part of that chop, and he ended up taking more than $82k for his finish!
Amazingly, there was a P5er with an even bigger score than those as well. Bry23 took 3rd in the 1M guaranteed on PokerStars for more than $98k....amazing weekend by these talented members of the PocketFives community!
And going on with the theme of enormous scores, SoBeDude took down the $400k guaranteed $200 rebuy on Paradise, which was worth more than $92k. Wogee, Gbmantis, and spencerman were the 4th, 8th, and 9th place finishers. On the same site on Sunday, WillisNYC took down his first major title, getting more than $36k for winning the $150k guaranteed! Squintngo finished 6th, and SamENole came in 9th.
Browerkid showed his PartyPoker dominance yet again this weekend, taking 7th in the $200k guaranteed, while a couple noteable 5th place finishers were ActionJeff in the Full Tilt $200k and Brainwash in the PokerRoom $80k "Weekly Big Deal." And speaking of that Full Tilt tournament, P5er I_M_BLUFFMAN took the whole thing down for more than $50k! Annette_15 also finished 4th in this event.
In the aforementioned UltimateBet $200k guaranteed, Round42 (6th), buckohfive (9th), and phatcat (10th) were all at the final table to make nice scores.
Pocketfives did not go unrepresented at the Bodog 100k final table, which posted a $21K layover. Pokerbookie outlasted 791 entrants to finish 2nd for a nice payday of over $14K.
