July is here, and the WSOP is still rolling along, with six P5ers having won bracelets going into the final week of preliminary action. The online scene is still buzzing as well, and there's plenty to report from yet another weekend full of big prizepools.
YourTimeIsUp (pictured) just recently signed up on Absolute to try out their $150k Guaranteed Saturday tournament, and it didn't take him long to reap the benefits. On Saturday, he finished first in the event, which had a $530 buy in this week. First prize was more than $41k.
Another P5er to win a weekend major to start off the new month was badbeatme, who took down the UltimateBet $200k Guaranteed. He got past several P5ers en route to his $45k victory, including dannysek (5th), KingDan (6th), toetagu (7th), and goodvibe (8th). Both badbeatme and toetagu have also cashed in WSOP events this year.
Cory! (left), a P5er for more than two years now, had one of his biggest cashes ever this week, taking 3rd in the Full Tilt $500k Guaranteed. Other P5ers at that final table included MAYHEM45 (6th), linkocracy (7th), and jeppg1111 (9th)
P5er jimmie23 picked up a bigtime cash in the Sunday Million on PokerStars, finishing 5th for over $40k. This was the second straight weekend he was able to cash for over $40k, as he won the UB $200k last weekend. Dyzalot finished 6th in the same event to take home over $29,000, and P5er dub_star took 8th for over $12k.
Several P5ers also made the final table of the other two $200 freezeouts in the PokerStars Sunday lineup--the Sunday Warm Up and the Second Chance. WhoTheHell and agriffrod took 8th and 9th in the Warm Up, while dmhands and cactusjak9 were able to climb all the way up to 2nd and 3rd in the Second Chance. Asellers07 and ElMastermind were also at the latter final table.
Pbdrunks (right) had another impressive Sunday finish this week as well, taking 3rd in the $200 rebuy. every player he passed at the final table was also a P5s member, and in order from 4th to 9th place, they were jeffbeesdat, MrSmokey1, asiandude7, BKiCe, CapitalRaise, and luchador420.
