The WCOOP Main Event was Sunday on PokerStars, and it was once again the biggest prizepool in online poker history, narrowly missing $7.5 Million! We'll be reporting separately on the WCOOP, but in the meantime there's plenty to talk about.
P5er splashthapot (pictured) was the winner in the Full Tilt $750k Guaranteed, where he picked up $132k in cash. Former top 10 ranked player PokerJoe9 took 2nd, mnkyman took 3rd, and P0KERPR033 finished 5th. Long time online winner muchaka was also at the final table, finishing in 9th place.
8BallDeluxe had a big score in this week's Bodog $100k Guaranteed, taking down the tournament for $25k. Justin "looshle" Pechie took 3rd in the event, and bearbeer took 4th.
Yuan was also the winner of a big event, the Sunday Mulligan on Full Tilt. He defeated fellow P5s member grgimpy in the heads up match. They both outlasted tsarrast, riskybusines, and jdpc27 at the final table.
Raul "raulsoli" Oliveira (left) was the 7th ranked player in Brazil going into the weekend, which is pretty impressive in itself. After Sunday, he's going to be higher. He took down the PokerStars $200 rebuy for over $67k after a long heads up duel with another P5er, sagat. Atimos nearly picked up another big major win in this one but ended up in 4th, while Kenny Rap and hafizzle were the next two finishers.
TheMasterJ33 has won several big online tournaments over the years, and he added another to his tally, beating out a very tough final table in the UltimateBet $200k Guaranteed. The final four were all P5ers, including RandALLin, rps5000, and two-time WPT Final Tablist Devin "tranquilchaos" Porter. Two other P5ers were at the final table: hixx and zrc11, who finished 7th and 8th respectively.
A few other P5ers to final table a big event included xxjondxx, who took 2nd in the Absolute $150k Guaranteed, mmcessa, who final tabled the PartyPoker $300k Guaranteed, and Shorty81, who took 2nd for $42k in the Stars Sunday Warm Up.
