Bankroll building project - Day 2

By TwystedPair - Jul 27 2009, 09:46 AM

Starting roll - $22
Current roll - $60.41

It was Sunday Funday, and I decided to take a shot in the Sunday Quarter Mill.  I hate not playing at least one MTT on Sunday, so I told myself if I profited  > $10 in a series of $1.75 18-mans, I would play it.  I finished in 1944th place for $31.11.  After this cash, I played in a $11 $8K guaranteed and a $2.20 $4K guaranteed.  I didn't cash in either one of these.  I also had a decent day in the 18-mans.  All in all, I'm up another $20ish for a current BR of just over $60.  I think I'm going to mix in a few 45-mans and maybe a few $3.40 18-mans during my next session.

to be quite honeset if you ar playing 3.40 18 mans and 45 mans you are not praticing good bankroll management early.  The turbos have a high rate of variance as been noted by several blogs already on here.  I am going to recommend a satellite that many people proably are not aware of.  I have used this method for building a bankroll whenever i have been in a crutch and it has never failed.  Try playing the 2.20 36 man satellite to the quarter million.  Top six get 11 dollar tourney dollars and 7th gets 6 bucks.  You only have to money 1 out 5 to break even so with your roll you are safe.  I always pratice this management when i have less than a 100 dollars in my account.  This tournament is real sweet once you get used to it.  Half the field are donks, a quarter fish, and a quarter sharks and nits.  GL with your challenge
