Yet another Lock poker article on the front page of P5s but the community is being very hush hush about the Merge cash out situation. DO NOT DEPOSIT ON ANY MERGE SKIN. most of us have been waiting two months for a cash out.
Here are a few things that have me really concerned.
1) The Merge poker network has recently taken away almost all players options to cash out besides the slowest option by check.
2) The Merge poker network is NOT even paying affiliates at this time.
3) The Merge poker network is NOT paying the rest of the world (ROW) players at this time. Some players have been waiting over a month when they use to wait 2 days for The Skrill cash out option.
4) The Merge poker network has been bombarding us with promotion after promotion when in the past they really could careless.
a) OPS every two months
b) Failed BIG MONEY SUNDAY promotion
c) MEGA stack week
d) Progressive Guarantees promotion
e) Nightly nine promotion
f) standard reload/deposit bonuses
g) Bonus Mania promotion
h) The BIG Saturday promotion
All of these promotions are designed to bring in money. which would be fine IF THE PLAYERS WERE GETTING PAID. All of the above promotions have been in the last couple of months. Again most of the regular players have been waiting 7-8 weeks for a check from The Merge poker network.
This tells me that they are working really hard on bringing new money in and not so hard on paying there customers.
One of my major concerns is the people who don't currently have money on merge but are thinking of depositing or reloading. The people who are unaware of how bad the cash out process is currently. I thought it would be a good idea for sites like Pokernews, Pocketfives, Cardplayer, 2+2..etc post a simple article about the situation. Not bashing The Merge poker network but simple stating the current situation.
I was told I could write a blog post or post my concerns on the local walls and that at this time there are no plans for Pocketfives to post any article on the current cash out troubles at Merge.
Please do some research before depositing on any unregulated or regulated poker site.
DO NOT DEPOSIT ON ANY MERGE SKIN AT THIS TIME!!!

Some potential good news coming out of California.
According to Cardschat, "California’s efforts to regulate online poker in 2015 have received a much-needed boost with the news that the issue is likely to be heard by Senate and Assembly committees before the end of April.
Senate GO (Government Organization) Committee Director Art Terkazis said this week that, while nothing has yet been finalized or approved, the chairs of the Senate and Assembly GO committees plan on holding “joint informational hearings” as soon as possible in order to get committee members up to speed on the complexities of Internet gambling."
