Mark your calendars. The 2014 World Series of Poker will run from May 27 to July 14 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The $10,000 buy-in Main Event, one of the most-hyped tournaments of the year, will take place from July 5 to July 14. Next year is the tenth that the series will emanate from the Rio, which can be found off the Las Vegas Strip.

The Main Event will once again have three starting days in 2014. Day 1A will take place on July 5, Day 1B will take place on July 6, and Day 1C will take place on July 7.

WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart commented in a press release, “In our 45th year, and tenth at the Rio, we are hard at work to make the 2014 World Series of Poker the biggest and best yet. We will build it, we hope you will come.” The series will run for seven straight weeks, although the full schedule of events is not yet known; it will likely be announced in January.

Starting on Saturday, May 31 is a $1,500 buy-in Millionaire Maker event, where the winner will walk away with at least $1 million. In 2013, the Millionaire Maker, which resulted in poker players flocking to the Rio in droves, fetched 6,343 entries and had a top prize of nearly $1.2 million. The prize pool for the 2013 Millionaire Maker event topped $8.5 million.

The $1 million buy-in Big One for One Drop is also back in 2014, returning after a one-year hiatus. The field is capped at 56 players this time around and, when it was run in 2012, Antonio Esfandiari took it down for $18 million. In 2014, WSOP officials are teasing the possibility of the top prize passing $20 million. A Little One for One Drop will also take place in 2014.

According to WSOP officials, nearly 500 poker tables will house tournaments, cash games, and satellites. In 2013, the total attendance nearly passed 80,000, the largest ever recorded. There were 62 events and players from 107 countries came to the barren Nevada desert for a little poker. In 2014, over 60 bracelet events are planned.
