888Live announced a full series of festivals in the spring with São Paulo, Brazil being one of the most anticipated. Live poker and 888 go well together in Brazil with an already feverish poker culture combined with 888 ambassadors like Bruno Politano and Bruno Kawauti always representing their native land in tournaments across the world.

The festival will take place inside the Casa Bossa and the Cidade Jardim Centre in São Paulo.

The festival starts on Wednesday, September 6 and runs through Monday, September 11 with a $318,000 ($R1,000,000) guaranteed Main Event highlighting the schedule. The winner of the event will receive a $13,000 package for October’s World Series of Poker Europe at King’s Casino.

There are six starting flights for the Main Event on September 6 and running through Saturday, September 9. The 888Live Main Event has a buy in of R$1,300 and all players start with 25,000 chips and play 10 50-minute levels on Day 1. Day 1F is the only change to this structure as the turbo flight contains 30-minute levels.

Re-entry and late registration are open for five levels for all starting flights and the Day 1 survivors will combine on September 10’s Day 2 where levels are then 60 minutes. The Day 3 finale will close out the festival on September 11.

Scheduled to provide commentary for the event is a friend of 888poker, David Tuchman, and WPT Champion and former World Series of Poker Main Event final tablist, Jesse Sylvia.

Other events lining the schedule are the R$2,500 High Roller to open the series on September 6 and the R$500 Ladies Event on September 10.

Another tournament that should bring out plenty of crowd favorites is the Celebrity Freezeout Invitational on Friday, September 8. Among the celebrities scheduled to attend are soccer professionals Denilson, Cafu, along with 888poker Ambassadors, Sofia Lovgren, Kara Scott, and former PocketFives #1 Chris ‘moorman1’ Moorman.

Satellites are running on 888poker to qualify for the Main Event starting at just 1₵.
