In the PocketFives.com Sortable Rankings Console, I chose to have a closer look at Nordic country of Sweden. The Scandinavian country is home to many great online and live players with big cashes in the WSOP, World Poker Classic, and many others. First on our list of the top 10 is eisenhower1 (pictured right) with 3885.27 PLB points. The king of his domain recently won a Bodog 100k Guaranteed for $25k and in mid June, he took down a Stars $100 rebuy while placing 3rd in FullTilt’s Sunday Mulligan for a day total of $53k. Eisenhower was also victorious on a PartyPoker 40k Guaranteed, which accounted for more than $13k back in February of this year.

Sebastian Skuja holds down the second best PLB score in the land with 3323.48. The native of Finspang has as many good live cashes as he does online. He represented himself well this year at the WSOP with a $15k cash in his 20th place finish during a $2,500 buy in. On the first of December last year, he had success in the Fifth Annual Five Diamond World Poker Classic in Las Vegas for over $72k. He was very successful online during late December of last year buy taking third in a Party 200k Guaranteed for $15k, while seven days later he placed 4th in another for $12k more. His best online cash came from Party as well, taking home $60k during a 300k Guaranteed.

Riverloser resides in Helsingborg and ranks 3rd among his Swedish Fellows. His best cash comes from a 2nd place Party finish in one of their 300k Guaranteed two weeks ago. August was without a doubt his best month on Party as he took a total cash of $52k coming from six different tournaments including a win in their Super Sunday and three other final tables. He also has a $14k 2nd place finish on a Stars $100 buy in from April as well as another for $12k just two weeks prior.

Ankstrajks is also a recent big cash winner and sits at 4th place in the Swedish top 10. He defeated the competition a week ago in the Party 300k Guaranteed for $60k while following that up with a 3rd place finish in an UltimateBet 200k Guaranteed for an additional $18k just four days ago. With help from his triumphant play in the last two weeks, he has risen into the Swedish top 5 and fattened his wallet a bit.

Rounding out the top 5 with 2424.90 PLB points is Bo “Legato” Sehlstedt (pictured left). This guy is a major threat both online and live. His best online cash by far has to be the $188k he won on Stars back in mid November of last year during a $200 buy in. He started out this summer in style by earning an extra $136k in his second place finishing in their Sunday Million. As for live play, he has a big cash from the World Poker Tour Main Event from a few years back for $75k. Since 2004, Legato has cashed for at least $15k in each WSOP, including a $58k cash in the Main Event this year. When asked about the Sortable Rankings he replied, “I love this ranking system. This is the real and only ranking out there that matters. It´s also fun to see how other Swedish players are doing online.” He will be featured in and interview during next week's P5s Podcast.

Bearbeer and MailMan99 come in at 6th and 7th and have 2153.49 and 2075.15 PLB points respectively. Last month bearbeer recorded his best online cash with his 2nd place cash of $26k on an UltimateBet 200k Guaranteed worth 295 points. MailMan’s best cashes all came in the last quarter of 2006, where he won a Stars $100 buy in for $30k just nine days after winning $18k on one of their $500 buy ins and two weeks before his$13k finish in one of their $200 buy ins. To finish off the year he was able to place 3rd on another Stars $100 buy in for $13k and cashed $10k more in a $50 buy in just two days after Christmas.

Finishing up the list are david a, Traumatize, and joocs. David a is another recent winner on Stars, taking down a 50k Guaranteed for $12k. His biggest online cash came from a 4th place finish in April during an UltimateBet 200k Guaranteed for $13k. Traumatize had a great run from December of last year to February, winning three tournaments in December. Of these three, he won two Stars $100 buy ins in three days for a total of over $25k and totaling $144k in those three months. Joocs won a Nightly Hundred Grand a few weeks ago on Stars for $30k and has been doing well ever since. On the 21st-23rd of last month, he managed to final table three different tournaments for a total of $36k, which included a 2nd placing in yet another Nightly Hundred Grand.
