The Bicycle Hotel & Casino has been a go-to place for many poker players and gaming enthusiasts in California and around the world. Now, after many years of planning and development, the casino is about its doors to a new luxury hotel on December 1 to transform the resort into an unparalleled gaming destination.
Construction in Bells Gardens, California began after a groundbreaking ceremony with Governor Jerry Brown on October 22, 2013. A couple of years later, the vision of Hashem Minaiy, Managing General Partner and CEO, and Robert H. Carter, President of Carter Management Group, Inc., is about to become reality. Brown will also be on-hand for the ribbon-cutting ceremony on November 16 to show off the new expansion, which has a price tag of $50 million.
The Bicycle Casino & Hotel, known to many gaming enthusiasts as simply The Bike, attracts many visitors due to its 185 poker tables and comfortable environment. Soon, visitors will have another reason to visit the resort thanks to the recent expansion, which includes 99 luxury guest rooms, including 29 world-class suites.
The Classic Suite is 766 square feet, while the signature The Bike Suite is a bit larger at 1,018 square feet. Those looking for even more luxury can choose between the 1,529 square foot Governor’s Suite or the 2,040 square foot Presidential Suite. As you can imagine, the Presidential Suite should impress just about anyone with its two bedrooms, formal living room, and relaxing Jacuzzi tub.
The new hotel isn’t all about the rooms, as the second floor features resort-style pool along with a tranquility spa and sauna. Additionally, visitors will be able to enjoy a modern fitness center.
Additionally, visitors should feel instant impressed with the lobby, which is illuminated with a chandelier that has 1,660 crystalline strands. The floor design features overlapping circles reminiscent of bicycle wheels, from which just about anything in the resort can be accessed.
Beer lovers will also be pleased with the dining options, as the hotel will host The Bike Brewery which will bring the craft beer scene to Bell Gardens. With 28 different beers on tap, any beer lover should be able to find what they are looking for. Some of the beer will only be available at The Bike, including Golden Road Brewery’s The Bike Brew.
Understandably, The Bike is very excited about the new expansion. “With the addition of the hotel property, The Bicycle Hotel & Casino is now a full-service, multi-sensory gaming and resort destination for Los Angeles and all of Southern California,” explained Minaiy in a press release. “Our vision was to design and build a sophisticated and luxurious hotel property, an urban retreat which welcomes guests locally, nationally, and internationally.”
Additionally, Carter described the expanded resort as “a true four-star experience featuring modern guest rooms, lavish suites, a resort-style pool with cabanas, a tranquility spa, and more. It’s a dream fully realized, a perfect complement to the casino, and we can’t wait to share it with our guests.”
