It’s not easy winning one PocketFives Triple Crown, let alone three. Oh yeah, we should mention that all three came in the same month. That’s what Sweden’s BigMeech99 has managed to accomplish so far in January. He has a bundle of wins over the last four weeks, which together account for three Triple Crowns. Here’s a sampling of what he has taken down recently:

bwin $200,000 Guaranteed Sunday on January 26
PokerStars $25 NLHE Six-Max Hyper-Turbo on January 25
PokerStars $265 NLHE Knockout on January 23
Ladbrokes Big Night In on January 20
Titan Poker €15,000 Guaranteed on January 14
PokerStars $55 NLHE Turbo 2X Chance on January 12
bwin $12,500 Guaranteed on January 9
PartyPoker $12,500 Guaranteed on January 7
PokerStars $109 NLHE Turbo on January 7
PokerStars $55 NLHE on January 7

BigMeech99 told PocketFives, “It has been a crazy month. I have been running extremely well and been playing a lot. It feels great and it’s good for my self-confidence.” In terms of what has been going right for the Swede, he evaluated, “I’ve been improving my game lately, but it also has to do with good timing and having luck on my side.” He is up to $2.1 million in tracked cashes in his PocketFives profile after hitting $2 million on Christmas Eve.

He narrated that he starts a typical day around 18:00 CET and stops registering for tournaments about six hours later. “Almost every day, I end up playing in the late $100 Turbo and $82 Hyper on Stars. It depends if I have something deep left. I rarely have more than 20 tables going at once.”

Is it draining playing day after day, grinding your way to a trio of Triple Crowns, or is the wave of adrenaline large enough to ride? “When you’re running hot, it’s almost hard to leave the computer,” he gleaned. “But, when I run badly, I get sick and tired of it quite fast. In the end, it’s a really great opportunity in my life in many ways, so it’s stupid to complain.”

BigMeech99 sits at #78 worldwide in the PocketFives Rankings and was as high as #19 in 2012. He is #10 in Sweden and said, “It would be awesome to climb into the top 10 worldwide on PocketFives, but it’s very hard with all of the good players out there and it would take a lot of run-good and volume to get close. Instead, I am looking forward to some traveling. I just missed out on a trip to Australia and New Zealand with friends. Obviously, I’m not complaining that I stayed home in front of the screen and played poker, though!”
