Rubie is ranked #70 worldwide and tops an impressive list of players from Down Under, including Kris ibluffheapsCunz, Steve stevoLLeonard and Jonathan xMONSTERxDONGx Karamalikis.

Rubie’s success on the virtual felt began picking up speed in 2009 when he had 11 five-figure scores, including his biggest cash ever — $93,000 for a victory in the Full Tilt Poker $1k Monday. In 2011, Rubie collected $64,800 for a first-place finish in the PokerStars $320 Wednesday Quarter Million on February 9th and added victories in the PokerStars $215 Turbo 2X Chance ($14,500) and Full Tilt Poker $30K Super Guarantee ($14,200).

Tom tollgateGrigg and Liam RAWKZO’Rourke land at #4 and #5 in the Australia PLB rankings, respectively, and Jonathan xMONSTERxDONGx Karamalikis comes in at #6. Karamalikis also finished runner-up in the PokerStars Sunday 2nd Chance on March 6 for $57,400.

His biggest career score came on March 20 when he took 2nd in the PokerStars Sunday 2nd Chance for $39,400.

Online poker legend James Andy McLEODObst falls just outside of Australia’s Top 10 at #11. The Adelaide native has dropped his online tournament volume in order to play more on the live circuit but still managed to put together some nice scores of late, including a second-place finish in the UB.com $150K Guaranteed for $24,300. That same day he also finished fourth in the Full Tilt Poker $150 rebuy for $11,700.
