The 2011 PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker, or WCOOP, is in full swing. Members of the PocketFives community have made themselves known throughout the ongoing series, which continues for another two weeks on the world’s largest online poker site. In the interim, PokerStars will host our 17th PocketFives Open. On Thursday, Denmark’s Brinkcame away with a WCOOP jersey in a $215 Razz event (#15).

Brink took home $29,000 in the process, not bad for the former PokerStars Sunday Million winner. Second place belonged to longtime community member Jim Mr_BigQuesoCollopy (pictured, image courtesy PokerNews), who banked $21,000. Collopy recently moved from Washington, DC to Vancouver and jested about feeling his second earthquake in an Off Topic thread: “I just left DC to move up here for a while. How do I experience my 1st 2 earthquakes in like 2 weeks? Bogus.”

Also appearing at the final table of WCOOP Event #15 was Vincent Diamond8 Gabel, who raked in $5,500 for sixth place. Gabel is a native of Belgium and has been part of the PocketFives community since 2007. Here’s how the final table shook out:

The total prize pool swelled to over $700,000 as a result and Tat0chka topped the field when all was said and done, banking $110,000. Sixteen players returned to the felts on Friday afternoon to determine a champion.

Hungary’s probirsand Ireland’s sirinboth walked away with five-figure paydays from the final table after finishing in fifth place and sixth place, respectively, and you can catch the latter playing on PokerStars under the screen name ghth.
