Former Seals With Clubs operator Bryan Micon (pictured) has been sentenced to two years of probation and a $25,000 fine after pleading guilty to operating an unlicensed interactive gambling system, according to the Associated Press.

The news outlet added, “Bryan Micon, 37, also surrendered 3.0996 in bitcoin credits, another $900 in cash, and more than six computers after returning to Nevada in June from the Caribbean island nation of Antigua as part of a plea agreement reached in July.”

According to a Vegas Inc. article from June, Micon can have his record reflect a gross misdemeanor instead of a felony if he successfully completes his probation. If he violates his probation, he faces up to two-and-a-half years in jail, per the AP.

The Associated Press painted a picture of what was said inside the courtroom this week: “Micon spoke only to tell the judge he understood. He could have faced up to 10 years in state prison and a $50,000 fine… Defense attorney Richard Schonfeld told the judge Micon planned to complete his probation in Las Vegas and move with his family to Antigua to take a job in the technology office of a newspaper there.”

Officials raided Micon’s Las Vegas home in February and, as he put it, “a bunch of guys with guns broke down my door… I was led out in handcuffs in my underwear.” Micon subsequently headed to Antigua with his family (pictured) before returning to the US.

An arrest warrant was issued in April. A GoFundMe campaign for Micon’s legal defense then popped up, but only $4,000 out of $50,000 was raised. Reportedly, GoFundMe halted the campaign.

Nevada officials have also targeted unlicensed gambling in the form of daily fantasy sports. DFS sites like DraftKingsand FanDuel vacated the Nevada market last month after Nevada gaming officials clamped down. As the state’s Gaming Control Board wrote, “Since offering daily fantasy sports in Nevada is illegal without the proper license, all unlicensed activities must ceases and desist from the date of this notice.”
