On February 19, London’s DaMatrix(pictured) posted on Twitter, “Cashed in over 70 tournaments yesterday to break the record of 58 by @MidEGambler1 @PocketFives. Only 1 today tho.” We counted 76 MTT cashes for DaMatrix on February 18 that made it to his profile and the feat is pretty astounding.

His 76 scores occurred across four online poker sites (PokerStars, PartyPoker, Full Tilt, and the iPoker Network) and included nine finishes in the top 10. One of his Ongame cashes on InterPoker was worth $1,200. He is up to almost $40,000 in lifetime online tournament winnings and plays on PokerStars, where he has amassed about two-thirds of his total, under the screen name SC4RF4CE.

DaMatrix is a low-stakes grinder, as he has 1,278 tracked cashes for an average of $31 each. He is the 31st ranked PocketFives member in the metropolis of London and #481 in the UK.

As DaMatrix alluded to, the player with the second most number of tracked cashes in one calendar day is MidEGambler, who recorded 58 in mid-December of last year. The Canadian has $1.1 million in career winnings, although his largest only weighs in at $13,000. He is the #4 player in the Canadian border city of Windsor.

MidEGambler and DaMatrix traded jabs on Twitter, with DaMatrix responding, “Kudos if you can get 100 in a day, good luck” to MidEGambler’s comment of, “Cool story. Challenge snap-accepted.” Now we will anxiously wait and see if either player, or anyone else in the community, can reach 100 in a day.
