David first entered broadcasting at the age of 9 when he took over the Public Address duties from his uncle for his local High school baseball team in 1984. On his 16th birthday, he joined KCTI Radio in Gonzales, Texas as a part-time DJ while he attended school. From there he went on to eventually run the News & Sports departments for KIXS/KLUB-FM Radio in Victoria, Texas before moving to Mexico City in 1997 in an effort to learn Spanish through a program sponsored by The Victoria College.

Within two years, David became an English/Spanish translator & interpreter for major U.S. companies while living in Mexico and volunteered his time as a bilingual language instructor for The Anglo-American Institute in Mexico City; a position he still enjoys today. In January 2006, David signed an air-talent contract with Grupo Monitor, the largest network of radio stations in the country of Mexico, and his voice can currently be heard on more than 200 radio stations throughout the U.S. including major markets such as Los Angeles, Chicago, and Miami.
