Week 7 brings us another batch of intriguing NFL games as well as a batch of matchups that are mostly irrelevant. I’ve been fighting the flu this week, so I wasn’t able to preview the Thursday night game between the Niners and Seahawks. Here are the cliff notes: The whole Niner offense was awful, while they’re defense actually played well. Russel Wilson was decent, but his backfield-mate Marshawn Lynch carried the whole offense on his back, resulting in an easy and boring Seattle victory. Let’s take a look at what Sunday and Monday have in store for us…

Buffalo at Jacksonville (Bills -4.5, 41)
Both teams are on the road here, as this game will be played at Wembley Stadium in London. I’m normally not keen on playing guys in the London games, as you never know how the travel will affect certain players. This game is only going to be eligible for certain contests, so I won’t spend a lot of time on it.

Tyrod Taylor is still out for Buffalo, so I expect the Bills to lean heavily on RB Shady McCoy. TE Charles Clay is the only other Bill I would consider rostering. For the Jags, it seems you can’t go wrong with the Bortles/Robinson stack lately. WR Allen Hurns is also turning into a solid weekly play. This game starts at 9:30am ET, so make sure to set your alarm if you plan on tuning in.

Cleveland at St. Louis (Rams -6.5, 42)
Cleveland comes to STL on the heels of a disappointing loss versus Denver. I fear for the safety of Browns QB Josh McCown, as he has to face the vaunted Rams pass rush in a rough atmosphere. I don’t like any of the Browns players this week, although TE Gary Barnidge ($4900) seems to find the end zone at least once every Sunday.

I don’t like much on the Rams side either, but I love RB Todd Gurley ($5000). He has a great matchup against a weak Browns run defense and coming off a bye he should be ready to handle plenty of carries. The other play I like in this game is the Rams D ($2400). Not only is their price point insanely low, but I think they will be all over McCown and the rather bland Browns offense.

Pittsburgh at Kansas City (Chiefs -2.5, 43)
Ben Roethlisberger has been teasing us with the thought of him returning this week, but it appears unlikely. As a result, I’m not huge on the Steelers offense despite there being several guys you could play. RB Le’Veon Bell ($8400) is an elite player, but his effectiveness is reduced by the lack of Big Ben. The same goes for WR Antonio Brown ($7900), as he’s just not the same player without Ben throwing to him.

Martavis Bryant ($4700) had a welcome back party on Sunday without the help of Roethlisberger and while I’m sure he’ll be heavily owned, he has a very attractive salary. The Chiefs have been very vulnerable on defense through the air, so feel free to gamble on the Steelers passing game. As for the Chiefs, there’s nobody I find worth playing now that Jamaal Charles is out. This should be a pretty interesting game, but there’s not a lot of DFS appeal.

Houston at Miami (Dolphins -4.5, 44.5)
Another game with minimal DFS appeal. Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins has been on a tear, so much that his salary is now $8600. That’s a steep price to pay, but he’s been unstoppable every week and gets another good matchup. Teammate Arian Foster ($7500) is also an expensive but attractive play, as the Miami D has been less than stellar all season.

Speaking of the Dolphins, they finally decided to feature Lamar Miller last week and it really paid off, as he had a great game. At only $4600, I like him a lot against a Houston D that has been gouged a lot this year. Other than that, I don’t think this game has a lot to offer.

New York Jets at New England (Pats -8, 48)
Vegas is telling us to expect a decisive Patriots victory with a lot of points scored. Per the usual, Brady/Gronk/Edelman are all great plays this week. The Jets are tough against the run, so I expect the Pats to use short and quick passes to make up for a lack of running game. With that said, I think it would be prudent to avoid the New England RBs this week.

I feel the opposite with regards to the Jets. The only way they can realistically win this game is to feed Chris Ivory ($5800) the rock and keep Brady off the field as much as possible. The Pats D is very good, but vulnerable against the run, so Ivory is definitely worth a look. WR Brandon Marshall ($7800) has a rising salary, but he has become a weekly play as the go-to guy in the Jets passing game. Bill Belichick has historically owned QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, so I wouldn’t get cute and try to ride the Fitzmagic train. This is one of the games I’ll be watching closely on Sunday.

Minnesota at Detroit (Vikings -1.5, 44.5)
I try not to be too hard on myself, but I was way off with my estimates of these teams last week. Adrian Peterson did almost nothing, while Matthew Stafford exploded for over 400 yards. Peterson ($7600) gets another great matchup this week, so I wouldn’t hesitate to plug him into any lineup. There’s been a lot of buzz about rookie Vikings WR Stefon Diggs ($4200) after two very good games, but his role in the offense is unclear at this point. He’s risky, but could pay off if he sees the field properly on Sunday.

As for Detroit, they still bore me greatly and I won’t be touching them this week. Stafford is really cheap at $5700, so if you think he’s got another big game in him, go ahead and stack him with Calvin Johnson ($7700). I have a feeling that the Vikings will be a little more stout as an opponent for the Lions this week, but we’ll just have to wait and see.

Atlanta at Tennessee (Falcons -6, 47)
This is one of those boring and irrelevant matchups I mentioned earlier. Marcus Mariota is out for Tennessee, so it’s a total mystery his their offense will look under sophomore Zach Mettenberger. A lot of people think it could benefit WRs Justin Hunter and Dorial Green-Beckham, but I’ll be avoiding the Titans until I see what they look like on Sunday.

Atlanta on the road is a much different team than when they play in the Georgia Dome, but Julio Jones ($9100) is still a great play in this game. RB Devonta Freeman ($7900) continues to roll and is becoming a weekly play himself, much to my chagrin.

Tampa Bay at Washington (Redskins -3, 42.5)
Chalk up another one for the boring and irrelevant column. Both teams stink and both teams are pretty bare in the DFS cupboard. I honestly don’t feel comfortable starting anyone on either side of this matchup. There are potentially viable players like WRs Vincent Jackson and Pierre Garçon, and RBs Alfred Morris and Doug Martin, but I feel like they’re just too risky to play. Buyer beware.

New Orleans at Indianapolis (Colts -4, 52)
Between the high total, good QBs, and indoor conditions this game possesses, there should be plenty of fantasy points scored. My favorite plays are the RBs on both sides. Mark Ingram ($6300) has been very consistent for the Saints, combining a high floor with solid upside for big games. Meanwhile, Frank Gore ($4900) has been one of the best cheap RB plays week in and week out and he gets a very good matchup this Sunday.

QB Drew Brees ($7000) doesn’t really have a go-to guy yet, but the one I would stack him with is Willie Snead at only ($4300). Andrew Luck ($7600) looked a little rusty in his return on Sunday night, but he still put up good numbers and should fare even better this week against a porous Saints defense. As usual, my choice to stack with Luck is Donte Moncrief ($5200) because of his skill set and cheaper salary. If you like good offense and bad defense, this is the game for you.

Oakland at San Diego (Chargers -4, 47)
Phillip Rivers ($6500) was an absolute monster at Green Bay, going over 500 yards passing. That should continue this week as he returns home against a marginal Raiders D. I’m sure he will be highly owned, but that’s for good reason. Stack him with Keenan Allen ($7700). TE Antonio Gates is dealing with a bum knee, so you probably want to avoid him.

For the Raiders, the main guy I really like this week is Latavius Murray ($6100). The Chargers struggle against the run and Murray is a beast. This game could end up being one of the best of the week.

Dallas at New York Giants (Giants -3.5, 45.5)

Coming off of a total dud on Monday night, the Giants return home to face the still Romo-less Cowboys. No Romo means no Cowboys for me this week. Stacking Eli and ODB is still a good idea to me, although it’s losing its luster, as Eli seems to be regressing. This game might be a fun one to watch, but I’m going to avoid everyone except Odell Beckham Jr. ($8700) in this NFC East showdown.

Philadelphia at Carolina (Panthers -3, 45.5)
Sunday Night Football gives us a pretty intriguing matchup, as the Eagles try to keep winning against an undefeated Panthers squad. This is another game that should be good to watch but not ideal from a DFS standpoint. I’m still avoiding the whole Eagles offense because Sam Bradford just isn’t there yet. RB DeMarco Murray ($6400) is a fine option, but I don’t think he’ll do very well against a stingy Carolina D. In fact, I love the Panthers Defense ($3100) as a play.

Bradford and Co have been turning the ball over a lot and I see that trend continuing on Sunday night. For Carolina, the obvious move is to stack Cam Newton ($6600) and TE Greg Olsen ($6100) together. That duo has the potential to light it up every week. Other than that, I don’t see any other legit plays in this game.

Baltimore at Arizona (Cards -8.5, 48.5)
Last, but not least, we get an avian showdown on Monday night. The Ravens have been awful all year and they’re on the West Coast again to face a tough Cardinals group. I’m completely fading the Ravens here; there’s just nothing to like about then right now. Arizona is also coming off of a tough loss, but I expect them to rebound at home.

Carson Palmer ($6700) is yet again a great choice at QB, as are all of his WRs. My favorite play here is the Cards defense at $3600. Ravens QB Joe Flacco has been a turnover machine as of late and the Cards are great at forcing those turnovers. This game should be a blowout and even though anything can happen in the NFL, I’ll be shocked if the Cardinals don’t handle the Ravens.

Good luck setting your lineups and enjoy the games!
