After another Thursday night game that left a lot to be desired, it’s time to start getting ready for Sunday’s action. With all the parity in the NFL, many teams will look good one week, lost the next week, and vice versa. Just like the teams they play for, a lot of NFL players will fluctuate in terms of performance. Paying attention to those weekly performances can help us get an idea of who will be coveted by DFS owners the following week. Let’s take a look at the players everyone will want, and the ones who won’t be so popular. You can register for Week 4 games on FanDueland DraftKings. QBs I expect to be highly owned:

Aaron Rodgers ($7900):
This is a pretty straightforward one. Rodgers is coming off of a huge game on Monday night and gets to face the Niners discombobulated secondary. Rodgers is usually one of the more popular QBs, but I expect him to be a top three play if not the highest owned this week.

Cam Newton ($7000):
Cam has gone from a sneaky play to one of the top QBs so far this year. Coming off of yet another great game, he now goes to Tampa Bay for a very good matchup against the Bucs D. A true dual threat QB, Newton should be coveted by many this week.

Tyrod Taylor ($5800):
Taylor is an obvious candidate to be highly owned this week. His price point is extremely low for a QB who has been so successful to this point and now he gets a pretty marginal Giants D at home. I was already sure to list Taylor in this article and then I saw someone on ESPN recommending him as one of the best plays of the week. Enough said.

RBs I expect to be highly owned:

Adrian Peterson ($7800):
Despite his expensive price tag and rough matchup, I think that Peterson’s last two performances have put him on the minds of fantasy players. He appears to be back to his dominant form and I think that will cause him to be one of the higher owned RBs this week.

Latavius Murray ($6300):
Murray has turned out to be one of the better scoring RBs in all of football so far. Coming off of a huge game in Cleveland, he now gets to face the lowly Bears defense. With one of the best matchups of the week and a very reasonable salary, I’ll be surprised if Murray isn’t highly coveted.

Karlos Williams ($3400):
Karlos with a K has been doing well as the understudy to Shady McCoy. Shady is out this week and Williams gets all the carries to himself. His anticipated success combined with a dirt cheap price tag means he should be owned by many.

WRs I expect to be highly owned:

AJ Green ($7600):
Green put up over 40 points last week and is far cheaper than Julio Jones. Add in the fact he’s going against a KC defense that has been gouged through the air lately and I see Green as one of the most popular picks of the week.

Randall Cobb ($7400):
Cobb should be the most popular receiver to stack with QB Aaron Rodgers, especially after his last game. Cobb should be coveted for the same reasons Rodgers will be on Sunday.

Larry Fitzgerald ($6500):
Larry Fitz has been on fire, averaging almost 31 ppg for the year. He’s at home in a fine matchup, has an affordable price tag, and is paired with one of the best QBs in the game right now. There isn’t much not to like about Fitz this week, except that he’ll be on a lot of rosters.

TEs I expect to be highly owned:

Jimmy Graham ($6000):
No Gronk this week, so the elite TE pool is a lot shallower. Graham had a very strong game last week and is usually a very popular choice at TE. Contrarian play last week, public play this week.

Greg Olsen ($5400):
Olsen finally had the huge game one would expect him to as Cam Newton’s best target. His price is still reasonable and I think that he’ll be stacked with Newton a lot for this Sunday’s game in Tampa Bay. He’s a great play, but everyone with a knack for fantasy football also knows that.

Defenses I expect to be highly owned:

Cardinals D ($3400):
After taking two picks to the house and snagging two more against Colin Kaepernick, the Cards D is on a roll. Now they get to face a lowly Rams offense while playing in their loud home stadium. Their price point is on the high side, but I think a lot of people will be choosing Arizona as their defense on Sunday.

Broncos D ($3300):
Denver’s defense is nasty; there’s no better way to say it. They’ve been one of the highest scoring defenses so far and now they get young Teddy Bridgewater in Denver. Teddy looked pretty shaky against the Niners on the road and I expect him to be much worse at Mile High. Anyone else paying attention should be thinking the same thing, so expect the Denver D to be a top three owned squad.

Good luck making your decisions this week and be sure to check back on Saturday for my injury update.
