On Thanksgiving Day, the daily fantasy sports site Draftpotis running a $4,000 Turkey Bowl. This special tournament, which has a salary cap, has a buy-in of $20 and offers a top prize of $500. It’s sure to be a small field and you can put on your GM cap and draft the best players possible within a salary cap.

All told, there are $10,000 worth of Thanksgiving Day contests going on at Draftpot. The Turkey Bowl is capped at 222 entrants and the top 44 will walk away with cash, or about one-fifth of the field.

Speaking of salary cap games, according to an email PocketFives received, Draftpot is changing their structure: “By popular demand, we are reducing the DPPG cap for NFL GM Mode contests from 140 to 130; as always, we appreciate your feedback and suggestions.” DPPG stands for Draftpot Points Per Game and is the currency by which you’ll fill out your roster.

If you’re like this author and dislike salary caps, Draftpot has a $40,000 Touchdown game running on Sunday that has a $15 buy-in and a $40,000 top prize. The top 590 entries will double their buy-in and there are no salary cap restrictions, so you can draft whichever players you’d like.
