Blake Bortles and Allen Robinson led ehafner to victory on DraftKings

In a pretty impressive showing, ehafnergot both first and second in the Week 16 DraftKings NFL Main Event, which had a buy-in of $1,500. Amazingly, ehafner earned a total of $1.35 million for his first and second place finishes, scoring 233.32 points with one lineup and 229.52 points with the other. He beat out third place by two points.

We’re all about winners, so we’re going to break down ehafner’s $1 million winning lineup in the Main Event, which had Blake Bortles in the quarterback spot. Bortles started slowly, but ended up with four touchdowns and 368 yards passing, good for 34.22 points. He was 25.6% owned and went up against the worst defense in the NFL.

At running back, ehafner had Doug Martin and DeAngelo Williams, who ended up at 10.5 points and 36.3 points, respectively. Martin was largely a dud outside of an early touchdown, while Williams had exactly 100 yards rushing and added six catches, which is hugely valuable on a PPR site like DraftKings. They were each around 20% owned and both of their real life teams lost.

ehafner rostered Brandon Marshall, Rueben Randle, and Allen Robinson at receiver, two of the same receivers as the winning lineup of the FanDuel Sunday Million had. Marshall posted an 8-115-2 line, Randle had two catches for 80 yards and a score, and Robinson logged a 90-yard touchdown grab late in the Saints/Jaguars game. Marshall was 4.3% owned and ended up with 34.5 points as ehafner’s highest-scoring player.

Travis Kelce of Kansas City was ehafner’s tight end. He posted a 6-43-1 line, or 16.3 points. At the flex position, ehafner selected Baltimore’s Buck Allen, who was having a lackluster day against Pittsburgh until he found the end zone in the fourth quarter. Allen also had 8.5 points through the air.

Finally, ehafner rostered the Arizona Cardinals defense, which whipped Green Bay to the tune of eight sacks and one interception and returned two Aaron Rodgers fumbles for touchdowns in a 30-point real life shellacking. On DraftKings, the effort was worth 33 points, one of the largest totals we’ve seen from a defense this year.
