Only days after its owner won his third World Series of Poker bracelet, Eli Elezra‘s home has hit the market in Las Vegas. Before you jump to conclusions, however, there could be a logical explanation for the home being sold.

According to Susan Stone of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the Elezra home is in the Green Valley-gated community known as The Fountains in Henderson. The Fountains, guarded 24/7, has recreational facilities, a clubhouse, and a community pool, but the Elezra home – it’s perhaps more accurate to call it a mansion – is the true star of the show. Realtor Zohan Robin of Vegas One Realty has the house listed at $1,989,450.

The 8,842-square foot home is lushly surrounded by palm trees and well-manicured landscaping. The first floor is 7,400 square feet, while the second floor is 1,400. The upstairs consists of two guest bedrooms; one features a sitting room and the other a balcony view of the backyard.

With six bedrooms and six bathrooms, it can accommodate the largest of families comfortably. There potentially were more bedrooms previously, but some were converted to hobby rooms or, in one case, a whole room has been dedicated to a shoe collection.

One of the highlights of the home is Elezra’s office space. Just off the living room, the office contains a 70-inch television surrounded by six smaller televisions and a surround sound system. If this weren’t enough, the room also contains a fireplace and a wet bar. There is also a large office located off the foyer that was used by Elezra’s children and their friends for homework and entertaining.

For the person who does the cooking, a huge kitchen greets the potential buyer. Entering the outdoor areas, there is an outdoor kitchen for cooking and the potential to entertain up to 20 people with the three tables located on the patio.

The backyard is surrounded by palm trees and, if the owner doesn’t feel like making the trek to the community pool, there is a fenced-in rectangular pool for laps and a diving board. Throughout the home, marble and custom carpeting add to the luxury that is apparent from viewing.

So why would Elezra now be looking to sell? With just over $2.7 million in career tournament earnings and even more in cash games, Elezra has done pretty well for himself. The reason could be as simple as the passage of time.

Elezra, whom Robin says is “the balance man” because of the way he balances his life between poker and his wife and five children, may simply be scaling down his living area with his children getting older.

Living in the home since 1999, Elezra’s wife, Hila, states that the area’s schools were the main draw, but with the children grown, the home is too large. The 54-year-old poker pro and his wife plan on staying in the Green Valley area after the sale.

While some may choke at the nearly $2 million price tag, it is actually a steal considering its amenities. All in all, it is the perfect home for the professional – poker or otherwise – looking for a home for a large family or the perfect home for entertaining.
