It was a historic day on Friday in the PokerStarsWorld Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP). Team PokerStars Pro member Bertrand ElkYGrospellier took down the $530 buy-in No Limit Hold’em Cubed event (#38) for $232,000, defeating a field of 1,169 entrants. Meanwhile, Terrence “Unassigned” Chan made waves by winning the $1,050 buy-in Limit Hold’em Six-Max tournament (Event #39) five months after taking down a pair of contests during the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP). Let’s take a look at the day that was on the virtual felts of PokerStars.

Grospellier defeated Ginsashheads-up, banking $230,000. Also making waves was PocketFives.com member hafizzle, who earned $93,000 for his fourth place showing. Hafizzle took down the Ultimate BetOnline Championship (UBOC) Main Event for $245,000 in January and also grabbed titles in the Full Tilt Poker$50,000 Guaranteed and PokerStars Nightly Hundred Grand. Landing in fifth place was Cashryders22, who boosted his bankroll by $67,000. Cashryders22 was the runner-up in the Sunday Mulligan in August for $48,000. Also at the talented final table of the $530 buy-in No Limit Hold’em Cubed WCOOP event were a pair of Jeffs, Jeff jeffboskiBoski and Jeff YoungSupremacy Hakim (pictured at left), who finished seventh and ninth, respectively:

Chan won his third tournament in a PokerStars series in sixth months by outlasting the field the $1,050 buy-in Limit Hold’em Six-Max tournament for $83,000. Heads-up, he bested PocketFives.com member Cesar makavelycesFuentes; the runner-up banked $61,000 for his efforts. Fuentes sits at #26 on the Online Poker Rankingsand is a former Triple Crown winner. He took second in the Wednesday Quarter Million on PokerStars in August for $50,000. Joining Chan and Fuentes at the final table on Friday was Tommy2tyme, who nabbed $21,000 for his fifth place showing. Here’s how the final table looked:

The $215 buy-in No Limit Omaha High-Low tournament attracted a field of 1,265 runners, with C.L. plo ufoHabern and Ryan late_entry Gentry also reaching the final table. Viox made the final table of the Sunday Warm-Up last month and won the PokerStars Daily Eighty Grand Sunday Special earlier this year for $26,000. He paced the following final table on Friday:
