We were somewhat shocked that a finale of a $322 No Limit Hold’em 3X Shootoutheld as part of the ongoing Full Tilt Online Poker Series, or FTOPS, would be this exciting for the PocketFives community. The tournament began with 425 players and ended with two former #1 players in the PocketFives Poker Rankings going at it: Canada’s p0cket00and the U.K.’s Chris moorman1Moorman. The ultimate winner in this match-up for the ages was p0cket00, who banked $27,000. He is currently ranked #6 worldwide on PocketFives and just passed $5 million in tracked online MTT earnings. Did we mention that p0cket00 owns four online poker Triple Crowns? He was ranked #1 in the PocketFives Poker Rankings as recently as October 2011.

Fittingly, when p0cket00 dropped out of the top spot in the Rankings in October 2011, Moorman took his place. The Brit is the most accomplished PocketFiver ever. And we mean ever. He’s the only player with $7.5 million in tracked online MTT cashes, has a record-setting dozen Triple Crowns, and won our Yearly PLB race in 2009. He sits at #26 in the Online Poker Rankings and has solidified himself as a force to be reckoned with both behind the computer and in a live casino.

Moorman(pictured) told PocketFives in an exclusive statement on Friday that he was thrilled with his runner-up finish given a variety of internet hiccups: “I was just so happy to be there. I think p0cket00 eliminated every person bar one on the final, while I spent half the time sitting out because of a dodgy Prague internet connection. It was definitely the happiest second place I’ve ever had.”

On the heads-up match against the Canuck, Moorman recapped, “Heads-up play lasted about 30 minutes. I came in as over a 4-1 dog and initially made a little comeback. I actually felt good about coming back to win it all just because of the nature of how it had all gone down. I really was so lucky to be there after getting disconnected heads-up in the previous round.” In fact, p0cket00 waited for Moorman when the latter got disconnected. Moorman told us he was very appreciative of that.

Together, p0cket00 and moorman1 have recorded 16 Triple Crowns and have over $14 million in tracked cashes. To top that off, they’ve also contributed nearly 1,000 posts combined to the PocketFives community.

The final nine in the $322 NLHE 3X Shootout were as follows. Members of the PocketFives poker community laid claim to all but two of the final table spots:

1. p00cket00 – $27,412.50 (p0cket00)
2. MoormanI – $18,487.50 (moorman1)
3. PatGarrett01 – $13,387.50 (PatGarrett)
4. Tenkamusou – $9,817.50 (Dattebayo)
5. The_SeS – $7,140.00
6. maximani91 – $5,100.00 (maximani)

8. Phil Ivey 18 – $2,422.50
9. bigt439 – $1,721.25 (bigt439)
