In just a few weeks, 888poker is taking their 888Live tour to Sao Paulo, Brazil for a week full of live poker. If you’re looking for a chance to get away for a bit and enjoy some live poker in a pretty sick location, you might want to give this event a good hard look. To help out with your decision-making process, we’ve put together a list of five reasons to play.

#1 – The Main Event

With a $400 buy-in and a $318,000 guaranteed prize pool, the Main Event could be a fantastic opportunity to get a decent score for such a small buy-in. Running Sept. 6 – 11, the Main Event has six different starting flights and allows for re-entries. Not only that, but qualifiers are running on 888poker for as little as one cent and direct satellites are running this week for just a $12 buy-in.

#2 – The Side Events

The Main Event isn’t the only poker tournament on the schedule. 888poker has put together a handful of other events with buy-ins affordable for every player. The High Roller has an $800 buy-in and a $63,500 guarantee. There’s also a Ladies Event ($160 buy-in) and for those who don’t make a deep run in the Main, but want to stick around until the end anyways, a Last Chance event runs on the same day as the Main Event final table.

Also, a cash here would mean finally adding that Brazilian flag to your Hendon Mob collection.

Dates Tournament Buy-in Guarantee
Sept. 6-7 High Roller (w/re-entry) $800 $63,500
Sept. 8 Celebrity Invitational
Sept. 10 – 11 Ladies (w/single re-entry) $160
Sept. 11 Last Chance $47

#3 – It could lead to a trip to Europe!

Not sure if you’ve heard or not, but 888poker is an official sponsor of the World Series of Poker, and that includes WSOP Europe. 888poker is currently running qualifiers for the WSOP Europe Main Event, but they’re also giving a WSOP Europe Main Event Package – valued at $13,000 – to the winner of the Main Event and the Ladies Event.

#4 – 888 Ambassadors & Live Stream

The team of players that 888poker has assembled to represent the brand as ambassadors will be in attendance in São Paulo. This could be your chance to rub shoulders with the likes of Bruno Politano, Nicolau Villa Lobos and football legend Denison.

#5 – It’s Brazil.

Look, there are poker tournaments all over the world and sometimes they’re not in the most dynamic cities. This is not one of those times. Even if the tournament goes horribly and you run kings into aces on the very first hand, you’re still going to get the chance to explore São Paulo, enjoying great food, experiencing the friendliness of the Brazilian people and spend some time soaking up the Brazilian culture.
