Earlier this month, a $1,500 freeroll was held for the top 50 finishers in an exclusive PocketFives 888 Poker PLB competition. When the tournament wrapped up, gamble4cokecame away with the win and earned $450, not bad for a month’s worth of work on one of the world’s largest online poker rooms. When the freeroll concluded, gamble4coke posted in our Official 888 Poker Support Thread, “Thx, the luck was on my side at the final table.”

gamble4coke finished 32nd in the PLB competition during the month of August on 888 Poker, one of the newest sites added to the prestigious PocketFives Rankings. He earned nearly 70 PLB Points during the month in four qualifying cashes to punch his ticket into the $1,500 freeroll. The best part is that he also took home a crystal 888 Poker trophy for being the winner!

This isn’t his first success in the online poker world. In June, gamble4coke final tabled a Mini Series of Poker tournament for $2,300. During his PLB run on 888, he took second in the site’s $22 Cubed for $1,200. In June, gamble4coke was the runner-up in the William Hill $2,500 Guarantee for $450.

Second place in the 888 Poker $1,500 freeroll went to Sweden’s deemer6, who pocketed $300 for his efforts. deemer6 can be found at #702 worldwide in the PocketFives Rankings and has been a member of the online poker community since mid-2007. In August, deemer6 took third in the $215 Sunday Supersonic on PokerStars for $14,000, his largest tracked cash to date.

Three other players walked away with more than $100 from the 888 Poker freeroll held earlier this month: the United Kingdom’s Alan MotherwellXRooney (third place for $180), Canada’s Randy racerRevelle (fourth place for $120, pictured), and the Ukraine’s sewolf (fifth place for $120).

As a reminder, only scores logged on 888 Poker are counted for the PocketFives Rankings. Each tournament must have at least 75 players in the field, at least a $1 buy-in, and at least $500 in the prize pool. Only players on 888 Poker itself are tracked, as we don’t get results from any of the other network sites.
