The lone Badugi event on the 2011 PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker(WCOOP) schedule panned out on Tuesday. Black Friday in the United States resulted in high-flying U.S. poker pros being excluded from PokerStars. Five months later, two American pros have had a chance to relocate; each made their presence felt in the PokerStars WCOOP on Tuesday. Steve gboro780Gross and Shaun shaundeebDeeb (pictured), two former #1 ranked players, both final tabled a $320 Mixed Hold’em Six-Max event (#26) on Tuesday and combined for $30,000 in earnings.

Deeb has relocated to Mexico, according to his Twitter feed, and posted on Tuesday, “Passed the documents part of @pokerstars. In a few hours, I get that great phone call and I’m in. I think it’s only fair I ft the $1k now.”

With six left in the $320 Mixed Hold’em tournament, Deeb Tweeted, “5/5 now. Really misplayed a bunch of hands. Really short on chips, but $12k locked up, so profitable first day at least.” He followed that up with, “And out. Someday I’ll learn how to close.” Posters on PocketFives.com were buzzing about Deeb’s return in a thread in Poker Community.
