Some of the brightest stars on PocketFives took to the virtual felts of 888 poker in April and shined even brighter and with XL Blizzard wrapping up mid-month, that meant big scores for some of them.

The top earner for the month was Russia’s Alexey ‘gunning4you’ Ivanov. Thanks to a fourth place finish in the XL Blizzard Main Event where he picked up $35,346, Ivanov was the only PocketFiver to crack $30,000 in earnings for the month and ended up with $36,274.35.

Sweden’s ‘Ariados’ wound up in the #2 spot for the month, over $10,000 behind Ivanov, but all of it came from a single cash. ‘Ariados’ topped the 460-player field in the XL Blizzard $100,000 Mega Deep to take home $25,802.

All-time great Chris ‘moorman1’ Moorman finished with the third-highest earnings for the month. Moorman won the XL Blizzard Warm-Up Event on April 7 for $21,062 and then picked up cashes on back-to-back weekends in the $20,000 Sunday Challenge to wind up with $22,149 in winnings.

Brazilian ‘Durval Santos Silva Neto’ was the most consistent grinder in April. Posting 85 cashes over the course of the month, ‘Durval Santos Silva Neto’ earned $3,942.72 for his efforts. His best day came on April 20, when he found the money in nine total events. His best score of the month came on April 27, when he topped a 153-runner field in a $5 buy-in $1,500 Guaranteed Turbo R&A for $328.78.

There’s a gap of 20 cashes between ‘Durval Santos Silva Neto’ and the next most frequent cashers. Slovenia’s ‘hudfoter’ and Greece’s ‘mimis_dirolo’ each picked up 65 cashes in April.

While ‘hudfoter’ won seven events, the highlight for him came in the form of a runner-up finish in a $5.50 buy-in Big Fish event where he took home $975 for outlasting all but one runner in the 983-entry field. His total winnings for the month were $4,555.71.

Meanwhile, ‘mimis_dirolo’ won just three events and pocketed $4,506.62 through the 65 events he cashed in. The biggest score of the month came in the $33 Big Fish R/A event on April 9 when he finished fifth for $840. He averaged $69.33 in earnings for each cash he picked up last month.

Only one player managed to crack the double-digit mark for wins in April. Russian ‘DoperHarley’ won exactly 10 events in April and added $1,690.87 to his winnings. He won the $800 Mini Starfish twice while picking up single wins in the $800 Guaranteed Turbo Deel, $400 Snap Six Max Turbo, $300 Guaranteed Turbo Deep, $100 Omaha Six Max, $500 Guaranteed Frenzy, $300 Snap Six Max Turbo, and the $250 and $200 Guaranteed events.

Fellow Russian ‘JonnyWhite1’ came second with eight wins, for which he earned $1,675.43. The seven wins that ‘hudfoter’ picked up were good enough for third best in a month where some of the best online poker players in the world flooded to the site for the XL Blizzard series.
