PocketFives: How did you choose your screen name?

Bobby McLawhorn: It’s just a name jumble, although I regret not using my old name “chipsforme” from other networks. WSOPers call me “claw” of late.

PocketFives: What do you base your current success online?

Bobby McLawhorn: Experience. I’m 26 years old, but I think I’ve played more hands than most players twice my age. That’s the beauty of multi-tabling online.

PocketFives: What do you like best about playing online poker?

Bobby McLawhorn: The action! There are never any dead spots to test my attention problems when I’m grinding 8 or 10 tables. I enjoy live as well, but for different reasons.

PocketFives: What was your most memorable moment of 2014?

Bobby McLawhorn: I spent a weekend on top of a mountain with 25 friends forming a lot of great memories packed into three days.

PocketFives: Do you have any plans for poker in 2015?

Bobby McLawhorn: I’d love to get more live action in, but my decision to split my time on two sides of the country limits my bankroll, although I’m working hard to change that.

PocketFives: Tell us a bit about your background.

Bobby McLawhorn: I was born, grew up, and went to college near the coast in North Carolina. When I finished school late in 2013, I threw my degree in the trash, signed a lease in Vegas, and moved with basically no money. Don’t worry, I was soon advised to retrieve my degree from the trash. I hope to keep making improvements to my game and meet more cool people in Vegas this year. Oh and win; I hate losing.
