PocketFives had the opportunity to chat with Michael Mulvania, aka Freakinpoet76, who has accumulated over $26,000 on WSOP.com in Nevada, a regulated online poker site. Additionally, he cashed in 196th place in the 2015 World Series of Poker Monster Stack event for $6,990. PocketFives: Are you living in Nevada or visiting?

Michael Mulvania: I spend a few months a year in Vegas playing online poker on WSOP.com and playing live tournaments. I also play poker in SoCal and Seattle.

PocketFives: What screen name do you use?

Michael Mulvania: I use TURNTH3NUTS1 and Freakinpoet76 as player names.

PocketFives: How did you choose your screen names?

Michael Mulvania: The first one is more wishful thinking. The second is from writing poetry.

PocketFives: What do you base your current successes online?

Michael Mulvania: I think my successes in poker come from patience and consistency and not luck because I run awful consistently and still manage to earn a living.

PocketFives: Tell us about your 2015 WSOP.

Michael Mulvania: I played this year at the WSOP and managed to cash in the Monster Stack tournament as well as the online tournament. I also won a freeroll into the WSOP Championship invitational tournament. I did not cash, but enjoyed the experience.

PocketFives: Do you have any mentorsor players who help you get ready?

Michael Mulvania: I don’t have any mentors, but will continue playing and improving my game.
