Viktor Blom was the biggest cash game winner in 2015

2015 is officially in the books. At the cash game tables that HighStakesDBtracks, the year was a busy one, and one player stood out from the pack: Isildur1, aka Viktor Blom. Isildur1 racked up $3.5 million in winnings at high-stakes cash game tables in 2015 on PokerStars, according to the tracking site, triple the next closest player.

For his career on PokerStars, Blom actually started off 2015 in the red, down almost $2 million, before mounting a furious comeback. He was almost in the black by May and by the time October hit, he was up over $3 million lifetime, according to HighStakesDB. He ended 2015 up around $2 million for his career and posted $3.5 million in profit during the stanza.

On Full Tilt, which HighStakesDB tracks separately, Blom is down almost $5 million lifetime and shed about $1.3 million in 2015. Back in 2009, Blom was up almost $5.5 million on Full Tilt before Brian Hastings won $4 million from the Swede to close out the year.

Two of Blom’s three largest pots won lifetime on PokerStars came in 2015. His largest was worth $365,000 and came at a $200/$400 PLO table against Sean WithColorRafael. The money went in on a 3c-7c-8s flop and the board filled out 9h-Ac on the first run and 4s-Qh on the second run. Blom had 8c-Js-9c-8h and won both pots for a total of $365,000. He also raked in a $274,000 pot the same day at the same stakes.

Sitting at $965,000 in profit for 2015 at the cash game tables, $2.5 million behind Blom, is bbvisbadformeon Full Tilt, who appears to have been largely absent from the tables since May. He started the year in the hole for his career before piling up almost $1 million in profit. He is the 83rd biggest winner on HighStakesDB.

Ben Sulsky made the top 10 list for 2015 on both PokerStars and Full Tilt. He profited $743,000 on Full Tilt under the screen name Sauce1234and earned another $409,000 on PokerStars with the moniker Sauce123. Sulsky is down $401,000 lifetime on Full Tilt, but up over $4 million on PokerStars.
