This week’s Podcast features interviews with Shaun Deeb and Eric “Basebaldy” Baldwin.

Shaun Deeb (who goes by his real name online) became a well-known online poker player in 2006, when he began grinding multi-table tournaments at a rate of 50 per day on PokerStars. Playing just about every tournament he could get his hands on, Shaun final tabled everything ranging from $1 up to $50 buyin. His first break came with a win in the $11 rebuy on PokerStars, and he now has a win in the FullTiltPoker $1k that has contributed to his #34 PocketFives.com Online Tournament Player Ranking.

But Shaun’s online poker game got put on hold during the summer months, as he went wild playing UltimateBet blackjack… wagering nearly $1 million in a week’s time and filling online forums with gossip through his actions. How can any player grind such a high volume of tournaments? What was going through his mind during his blackjack run? Shaun answers all those questions and more in this week’s interview.

Our second guest is Top-50 ranked online tournament player Eric “Basebaldy” Baldwin, who is currently staying at the Rio in Las Vegas for this year’s Bellagio series. Eric boasts a degree in Psychology with a minor in Math that has served him well in his profession as a poker player. In his Podcast interview, Eric discusses how to find uncommon edges to exploit while at the virtual tables.
