In a recent tournament on HogWild Poker, Nevada’s Movetime99created a last longer bet. Sure, these pop up all the time, but to set up the contest and promptly win it is pretty impressive. As if all that rigging weren’t enough, he took down the tournament in general and scored an iPad Mini. We heard that Movetime99 had created over 4,200 posts on PocketFives and so definitely wanted to catch up for an interview.

He jokingly told us that his contest wasn’t rigged. Instead, it was all skill: “Just like in the Main Event at the WSOP, the talent usually rises to the top.” It reminded us of the time that PocketFives Elite member wackyJaxon took down the PocketFives Open right after he started working with us full-time. Rigged.

Our interview subject is a dealer at Aria(pictured) in Las Vegas and told us, “I currently am a part-time dealer at Aria here in Las Vegas and my schedule changes every week. I read and post on PocketFives daily and saw the thread that said a few OTers were playing. I knew I would be off from work, so I decided to see if I could get Mr. Blonde to start a last longer.”

His original post in the last longer thread read, “Blonde said he would commit if I made a thread, but he is unable to hold due to being busy today. $10 winner take all. PM me for PayPal details.” Five pages later, Movetime99 came away with the win in the last longer and tournament in general: “As a rule, I generally don’t trust strangers with my money and I was blown away that just from posting on a forum, people were willing and trusting enough to allow me to hold.”

He coolered an opponent when his kings outlasted queens and explained, “I came back from the break and lost the first five or six pots I played. I got down to about 4,000 and looked for a spot to get it in, as the blinds were moving up quickly. I got it in really good with A-K over A-10 and won a flip with 3-3 all-in pre-flop against K-9 to get me to about 30,000. From there, I was a top stack. I grinded my opponents down and then got in a huge flip with Zeppelin, an OTer also in the last longer. He had A-K or A-Q and I had pocket 10s. I flopped a 10 and it was pretty smooth sailing from there.”

He reached the final table second in chips and cruised to victory from there. We asked about his past efforts to improve his poker game, which have apparently paid off: “PocketFives’ own sketchy1(pictured) has let me ghost him while he had tournaments going on a Sunday. Randers and I have talked strategy over meals, the same with TheWacoKidd, but nobody more than Wretchy. We talk about cash games, tournaments, Hold’em, PLO, and 2-7 Triple Draw. Basically, if I ever have a question about a hand or how I played it or what I could have done differently, I can get a hold of him.”

Movetime99 mainly deals craps and roulette and can now be found in a few poker tournaments around Las Vegas during the WSOP: “I am playing and have sold a percentage of myself in events. I am 100% playing both $400 Razz events at the Venetian. I am trying to sell a large piece of the Main Event to play. I am hopeful, but if the tournament started tomorrow, I wouldn’t be playing. $10,000 is a lot of money, especially since I just purchased a house last July.”

Congrats to Movetime99 for his impressive performance in our iPad Mini tournament! You can chat with Movetime99 and company in Off Topic.
