Late last month, Dublin, Ireland’s SuitedAcesBaby(pictured) finished second in the PokerStars Sunday $100 Rebuy for $30,000. The tournament drew 769 entrants and had a prize pool that just barely passed its $225,000 guarantee. As he admitted, “The result came at the right time, as I was on a bit of a downswing.” He was also headed to Las Vegas when we talked to him to partake in the final days of the World Series of Poker.

The Sunday $100 Rebuy took place while many of poker’s regulars were camped out in Nevada for the WSOP, so we asked SuitedAcesBaby how the field compared to that of a regular weekend. “It was fine for most of it, but when it got down to the last few tables, there were some very good players left. The final table itself was full of good players.”

The Sunday $100 Rebuy was his second largest online tournament score to date, trailing only a final table in the PokerStars Sunday Second Chance in January for $32,000. Here are the five scores we’ve tracked for him that have passed $20,000:

January 2014: 2nd Place, PokerStars Sunday Second Chance, $32,725
June 2014: 2nd Place, PokerStars Sunday $109 Rebuy, $30,510
February 2014: 3rd Place, Full Tilt $250,000 Guarantee, $26,942
November 2013: 3rd Place, Full Tilt Sunday Brawl, $24,320
March 2013: 1st Place, PokerStars Big $162, $22,996

SuitedAcesBaby has almost $1.2 million in online scores, but is perhaps best known for a victory in the UKIPT Main Event in Dublin(pictured) in February, which earned him $120,000.

“It was epic,” SuitedAcesBaby said of his UKIPT win. “I was pretty confident live anyway, but never actually thought I’d be the luckbox who could actually win a live tournament.” The UKIPT Main Event had 682 entrants and SuitedAcesBaby was one of four Irishmen in the top 10. Accordingly, he told us. “It was extra special because it was in my home city of Dublin.”

He started out in poker by playing with friends, then hitting up casinos, and then migrating to his computer. Right now, as he put it, “I don’t really think I have a part of my game that’s the strongest by far. Instead, I work hard on all aspects of my game and I’m always trying to get better.”
