This week’s Podcast features interviews with Sorel Mizzi (Imper1um, PocketFives.com Online Tournament Player Ranking #3) and Peter Neff (#1Pen, PocketFives.com Online Tournament Player Ranking #42).

Sorel “Imper1um” Mizzi grew up in a gaming environment, often placing trivial wagers with his parents and siblings on a number of occasions. One of the highlights in the Mizzi household for some time was watching Wheel Of Fortune as the entire family competed against each other. Sorel hasn’t lost that competitive edge at the online tables, where he consistently dominates the highest buy-in tournaments.

“Imper1um” will be the first to tell you that online poker wasn’t always a goldmine for him. A couple of years ago, Sorel had just finished Basic Training with the Canadian Army. So after receiving a well-deserved check for three months of hard labor, he promptly deposited his earnings online and began playing poker. Within a week, he was broke. Sorel understands the importance of playing within one’s bankroll all too well, and has since worked his way up to online tournament fame.

Peter “#1Pen” Neff has had success all across the board when it comes to online poker. He’s a successful tournament player, cash game grinder, and has shown earnings at the highest level Sit and Go tournaments. His largest cash to date was a 3rd Place finish in the 2006 World Championship of Online Poker $215 Omaha Rebuy event for $45,000. “#1Pen” is very opinionated about some of his colleagues play at the tables. He makes it clear in his interview that (in his opinion) PocketFivers “PokerPro33”, “Rizen”, and “OCrowe” have inferior poker skills when playing against top players.
