A recent software update was made available for PartyPokerand Borgata Poker players in New Jersey. The enhancements made with this update, some of which came at the behest of players, include tournament lobby changes, in-game features, improved mobile geolocation technology, and the addition of payment processing at the Borgata cage during World Poker Tour events.

The improvements made with the tournament lobby when viewing in the “Classic View” include a side panel that now appears on the right-hand side that gives you a summary of the details such as buy-in, number of players, prize pool, rebuy availability, and how long late registration is available. Prior to this update, you had to open the tournament lobby to get this information.

Sit and go grouping is another feature that was added. This will group all the same sit and gos based on buy-in level and number of seats. By putting a checkmark next to “Group Sit & Gos,” the software will consolidate them and not list every sit and go that is not filled up. Just click “Register Now” and it will put you in the next sit and go that is filling up. Sit and go grouping is pictured below.

The use of tournament tickets just got easier. When browsing the tournament lobby, a ticket icon will appear next to tournaments with buy-ins that you have tickets for. So, if you have a $200 ticket, an icon will appear next to the $50,000 Guarantee or any other tournament that has a $200 buy-in.

You will also notice a “My Tickets” link at the bottom of your tournament lobby that brings you to your tournament ticket page in the “Rewards” section of the software. This is available in both the “Classic” and “One-Touch” lobbies.

One important feature that most players wanted to see was an auto re-buy and auto add-on option for rebuy tournaments. You can select to auto rebuy “single” or “double.” A checkbox is available for “Auto Add-On,” which will automatically deduct the funds needed for the add-on period of an MTT.

If you forget to put a checkbox in the “Auto Add-On” box, a display box will appear on your screen asking if you wish to add on. Prior to this, there was no way of knowing when the add-on was available other than awareness of the current stage of a tournament.

The software upgrade now provides mobile users with greater certainty and increased accuracy when it comes to getting your location verified for play on phones and tablets.

Since the Garden State Super Series will coincide with the WPT Borgata Poker Open, Borgata has announced it will have deposits and withdrawals available for PartyPoker NJ players through the Borgata Casino cashier cages during the tournament series. This will be very convenient for players who will want to move money back and forth from PartyPoker/Borgata Poker.
