Here’s something you don’t see every day. Over the weekend in a session against Alex IReadYrSoulMillar, Viktor Isildur1Blom (pictured) dropped $273,000 in a span of just 10 minutes, according to HighStakesDB. A $400/$800 Heads-Up No Limit Hold’em table on Full Tilt was the site of the bloodshed and the session lasted a scant 40 hands.

Two hands pretty much did Blom in. The first saw raised action to a flop of 7s-4c-Jd. Millar bet $6,400 and Blom called behind. The turn was the 9c, and Millar check-raised all-in for $124,000. Blom called all-in for $88,000 and the cards were revealed.

Millar showed 10-8 for the nuts, while Blom had J-9 for a turned two pair. The river was a harmless 5h and Millar raked in a pot worth $204,000.

The other critical hand saw Blom 5bet all in before the flop with Ah-Kd and Millar look him up with pocket kings. Millar hit a third king on a flop of J-K-9, and a running 4-A ensured he’d scoop a pot of $254,000. As we said, the session eventually ended with Blom losing $273,000 to Millar.

According to HighStakesDB, Blom’s day continued to be a downer from there, as he dropped another $179,000 to KPR16at $2,000/$4,000 Omaha Eight or Better. HighStakesDB evaluated, “This loss must have been particularly tough for Blom, as he had started the match well, taking a $170,000 lead of his own. At that point, he was approaching $400,000 profit for the day. As it turned out, he ended the day a $236,000 loser.”

All told, HighStakesDB has recorded $606,000 in profit for Blom at the cash game tables over his career. He is up nearly $2.6 million in Draw games and another $2.2 million in No Limit Hold’em. He is in the black $788,000 in Omaha High-Low, but has managed to erase most of his profits by being down $4.3 million in Pot Limit Omaha. Blom is also a slight loser at the Eight Game tables (down $177,000) and Limit Hold’em tables (down $472,000).
