Jason treysfull21Mercier (pictured) continues to dominate the poker world. On Wednesday, he won his third World Series of Poker bracelet after taking down a $5,000 No Limit Hold’em Six-Maxevent. He now has 43 WSOP cashes and 13 final tables that account for almost $3 million in career WSOP winnings.

Interestingly, the $5K marked Mercier’s first bracelet win in Hold’em. His previous two WSOP titles both came in Pot Limit Omaha. He told WSOP staff following the tournament, “It feels great. I was really down on myself. I was getting beat up in cash, busting every tournament. This is the first tournament I made Day 2 of. It feels really good just to go deep, make the final table, and to win is just the cherry on top.”

Mercier was in 17th place out of 20 entering Wednesday’s restart. However, by the time the final table rolled around, he knocked out three players in the span of 11 hands, including sending fellow PocketFiver James Andy McLEOD Obst to the rail in sixth place after hitting a four-outer.

To sum up that hand, we’ll turn to Mercier’s Twitter feed. He Tweeted, “Omgggggoodness. Binked AKs vs QQ for a huge pot!!! T36… Q… Jack!!! 5.8 mill and massive chip leader with 5 left. Let’s gooooooooo!” Obst (pictured) was the chip leader with 20 players remaining out of the starting grid of 550.

The final table had three bracelet winners, while the other three players had 27 WSOP cashes for a combined $1 million. When Mercier won, he Tweeted, “Won it! 3rd bracelet in the books! #ScoopJardine.” That Tweet got over 500 Likes and over 100 re-Tweets.

Online, Mercier has $1.9 million in tournament cashes, including two WCOOP bracelets, four SCOOP wins, and an FTOPS jersey. It’s hard to believe that he’s only 28 years old. He earned three SCOOP titles this year.

Congratulations for Mercier poured in on Twitter. Darryll DFishFish Tweeted, “It seems as though @JasonMercier knows a thing or two about winning poker tournaments.” Bertrand ElkY Grospellier added, “Congrats @JasonMercier!!! Is it me or did it just end??? #sosick.”

Heads-up, Mercier beat Simon x1deadman1x Deadman. The latter, 27 years of age, hails from the UK and has $128,000 in online tournament winnings to his credit. Here’s how the final table of six cashed out:

1. Jason treysfull21Mercier – $633,357
2. Simon x1deadman1xDeadman – $391,446
3. Mike Gorodinsky – $246,867
4. Dario Sammartino – $163,604
5. Igor Dubinsky – $111,672
6. James Andy McLEOD Obst – $78,428
