You have to be kidding me. Less than a week after winning two SCOOP events in two days, Jason treysfull21Mercier (pictured) was back at it, taking down a $2,100 No Limit Hold’em Four-Maxevent for $178,000 following a heads-up chop. It was his third SCOOP win of 2015.

The Four-Max event spanned two days and attracted a field of almost 400 entrants. Mercier contended with some of poker’s most successful players at the final table, including Calvin Cal42688Anderson, who recently won a record-setting sixth SCOOP title, and Ryan HITTHEPANDA Franklin, who is approaching $4 million in career online tournament scores.

Mercier was second in chips when the final table began and was seeking his sixth COOP title. He busted Anderson in third place with kings against K-Q to take a 3:2 chip lead into heads-up play against Franklin.

Franklin and Mercier agreed on a chop and, two hands later, Mercier won his third SCOOP title in the first 20 events. As the PokerStars Blog explained, “This $170,457 victory in Event 20-H also gives Mercier six total COOP titles to tie him with Dan djk123Kelly and George Danzer. He is one behind Shaun shaundeeb Deeb and Anderson [who have] seven overall COOP wins.”

Here’s how the final four looked:

1. Jason Mercier (Canada): $178,457
2. Ryan “HITTHEPANDA” Franklin (Canada): $152,789
3. Calvin “cal42688” Anderson (Mexico): $68,408
4. TransSib (Russia): $42,315

Mercier is up to $1.8 million in career online scores along with another $13.8 million in live scores, according to the Hendon Mob. His six COOP titles add up to over $1 million.
