Jeans89 is the Biggest High-Stakes Winner at PokerStars Since 2010


After earning close to $100,000 on Wednesday, Jens Jeans89Kyllonen (pictured) extended his lead as the biggest winner of September at the high-stakes online cash game tables, according to HighStakesDB. The Fin also extended his lead as the biggest winner at PokerStars since 2010.

On Wednesday according to HighStakesDB, Kyllonen booked close to $100,000 in profit at Pot Limit Omaha, “all from a +$172k showing from two hours play at table Prylis V. Jeans89 is currently the biggest winner this month with close to $400,000 profit and is the biggest high-stakes winner at PokerStars since we started tracking back in late 2010 with close to $4.7 million in winnings.”

Kyllonen has had success on the live scene as well, winning an ECOOP Main Event title seven years ago for over $300,000 and booking a win in the EPT Copenhagen Main Event one year later for $1.1 million. He has $1.6 million in career live winnings, according to the Hendon Mob, and is #8 on the all-time money list for his home nation of Finland.

Kyllonen is the leading money-earner on PokerStars so far this month in high-stakes cash games. He has amassed $370,000 in profit across 54 sessions and 4,481 hands, an average of $13,000 per session and $82 per hand. Here’s how the rest of the top 10 shakes out:

  1. Pretty sad. The best 10-20 players on Party would exceed these earnings easily in 5 years. The online nosebleed games were a huge net loss for poker.

    Most sites got it right in the early days by limiting the maximum stakes, but now the cat is out of the bag. Ilari for example was up over 1 million in my 10-20 database over only 220,000 hands, about 7 months of play. He wasn’t even close to the biggest winner, and played fairly terribly a lot of the time. >$2 a hand was sustainable for at least 50 people I can think of.

    It’s a prisoner’s dilemma of sorts. If everyone agreed not to play over 25-50 again online, everyone would be better off.
